Just bored really but was wondering how the pitch is looking for the new season, I know at the last Meet the manager meeting it was going to cost a great deal of money to fix it in the long term and just wanted to see if we have done anything special ahead of the new season after seeing the state of it at the Supporters match

The usual summer repairs. This gives an ok surface until we play a game on a very wet pitch and it cuts up.

What would the long-term fixes be out of interest?

Pick it all up, strip it back and start again, costing tens of thousands of £££

That would need a pretty good cup run...

Could we all sponsor a blade of grass?

The main problem with the pitch is that the seats in the stand are facing it.

If that right back plays again i could stand in West Sutton station and throw the ball back.

If that right back plays again i could stand in West Sutton station and throw the ball back. That'd be quite handy actually cos the balls cost a small fortune. You're not free on Wednesday nights are you? I need someone to get the balls back for us at 5-a-side.

I often find myself saying 'that's a fiver' when they do. Surely we should get any opposition player who loses the ball to pay for it.

Can't we replace part of the pitch every season thereby spreading the cost over a longer period or is that not practical?
