I think there's a realistic chance that Spurs will send the likes of Rose, Bostock, Dervite, Livermore... Jake Livermore joined Derby on loan this morning... ;-) Ha, yeah, shows what I know. I just wish I'd said Chimbonda would be playing, and then he might have been given a free transfer to Raith Rovers.

Burtie - me and the old man will probably be in the club bar before the game, I will no doubt have a bandana on due to me cracking my head open on sat, make yourself known! See you then! Tom

I'll be there tonight with my other half, a non-football fan who also got dragged to our first friendly away at Basingstoke and three mates who support Spurs. If we lose I'll never hear the end of it!

Changing the angle of this thread... rather than the Spurs XI, what do people think Sutton's line-up will be? Both Dos and Alan say this could be the nearest we'll be to seeing a first game line-up, so...

Christ, now you're asking. I was just getting used to the line up from last season...
Based on the two friendlies I've seen, I'll go for:
GK Scriven RB Billy Hawes CB Goodliffe CB Kes LB AJ LM Beaney CM Cobbs CM Phillips LM Hann CF Gargan CF Hamici
I haven't seen Gargan play, but I'm going to put him there anyway based on reports of the last game.
Although I did like the look of Justyn Roberts too, so maybe Kes misses out...

I've only seen the two home games and the 'interesting' Dulwich encounter, so my view would be misguided. What's new? But I'd say the same. For Matt Hann read "Matt Hann (sub A Jospeh, 68)" and I'd see Roberts on the bench, unless Dos puts KES at right-back.

I have only seen the two home games. I think it may be Payne and Gargan up front to start. IMHO Kes is a centre back full stop. He worries me at right back and also in midfield. Hamici may not be back from his Algerian trip though. Joseph and Woods-Garness on in second half along with Roberts, James Hawes and Dunn. By the way is Bentley Graham still a Sutton player?

Obika has gone on loan to Yeovil, so I guess we won't see him either.

I agree with the Editor. Having seen Anthony Joseph at the Met Police on Saturday he has absolutely blistering pace - with good control - which means that Matt will be looking over his shoulder. Interestingly Dos and Alan kept refrring to him as AJ

Jonathon Woodgate undergoes minor surgery on groin problem (insert own joke here), so he won't be playing tonight...
