Hi Guys.A Swans supporter logging on seeing we have drawn you in the next round.Remember many games from the 1960's etc against you and note one of your entries saying Larry Pritchard used to manage us.He also played for us in the 60's at the start of his ilustrious career. A don't think you have an easy game here as The Mighty Swans have a new squad and new manager and remain unbeaten in 10 games although we have Worthing tomorrow night who are our jinx side. I note you have already lost 5 league games,3 of which at home so game on in the Surrey Derby.Don't be too confident as we will hopefully raise our game against such illustrious opposition and it will be a test for us to see just how far we have come since last season.

Unbeaten in six league games but you have played against teams who are in the bottom half of your division.Undoubtedly the cup is a great leveller and we look forward to an exciting game and hopefully the £7500.

I don't think Dos and the lads will be taking anything for granted. In fact, Swans good start to the season will surely make U's even more wary?

Its a home draw against a side below us but they will be full of confidence being unbeaten so I would say no more easy then the draw against Margate and Dos won't be fooled. W+H will have more in the locker then Uxbridge! Dartford V Chelmsford should be fun

We were drawn away to W&H in the FA Cup the season after the Leeds game. The Walton keeper sent a goal kick to the half way line where their centre forward was sandwiched between Rodney Brookes and our other central defender. The ref awarded a free kick, and after speaking to our two, allowed W&H to take the free kick with our boys still barely in our half. I believe this is the first time that I became disillusioned with referees!

Swans boss reckons shock on the cards By Simon Fitzjohn »
John Crumplin reckons his Walton & Hersham side are more than capable of springing an FA Cup surprise after the Swans were drawn away to Sutton United in the Third Qualifying Round.
Having seen off Ryman Division One North side Enfield Town 3-2 in a thrilling clash on Saturday, Walton were paired with the Ryman Premier side in a contest scheduled for Gander Green Lane on October 10.
And Crumplin is licking his lips at the prospect.
He said: “It is a big game for us and I am very excited about it.
“That is definitely a winnable game for us.
“It is a shame we did not get them at home as I think that would have made it even but we will go there with confidence.
“We will stay organised, battle all the way and look to win the game.
“I see no reason why we cannot go there and get a result.”
Dave Tarpey was once again the goal hero, firing a hat-trick including a last-gasp winner as the Swans saw off Enfield.
And Crumplin admits he is running out of superlatives after the on-loan striker hit his sixth goal in three games.
He added: “Dave is on fire and he will not be here long if he keeps up this form.
“To be honest I thought we dominated the game and we did not look in any trouble in the first half.
“But we gave away a needless penalty and things drifted after that and I was just glad Dave popped up with the winner at the end.”

Ooah, great memory mate. I was reading that report from one of those scrapbooks you gave me many years ago - do you remember them?
I've used them a few times in my proggy articles over the years, so cheers for them!!

Looking at the W&H site, they're having ago about us raking up Corny's broken leg. No one on here has stated that it was the fault of a W&H player, it wasn't, just an accident.
The fact is that it happened and unfortunately as good as ended MC's playing career.
Talk about make a mountain out of a molehill!

That was probably written by one of my ex-students - typical lack of realism there!

The Swans lost at home 2-3 last night but the man of the match was the Worthing keeper saving at least 3 superb second half efforts efforts by the Walton forwards and shots saved on the line. It's not going to be easy for the reds and our record at your ground is not great but it is The FA Cup and we do have a team that will test you.I'm already going to predict a draw with The Swans beating you at The Lane where your previous record on games played is not brilliant. Looking forward to a great game.

I saw them scrape past Fleet in the preliminary round. They'll have to play considerably better than that to beat us.

Well there is an interesting form line from the past couple of weeks, Worthing went out the FA Cup to Dartford 1-2 after what was a close match. Worthing involved again last night this time with W+H and running out 3-2 winners, you add to that a bit of FA Cup spice and players raising their game etc and this is not a straightforward just turn up and win job?

I don't think one person at this club thinks this game will be a turn up and win job.
