Unquestionably promotion. Without even a second thought.

Ah the old club v country discussion (argument). Club for me so Sutton promotion. Probably helped by the fact that I'm more interested in how the Faroe's do than England!

Blimey, what a difficult question? I think I will go for our promotion twined with an embarrassing exit by England in the group stage with a goal difference of -35, 0 points and a 10-0 defeat by the lowest ranked side in the competition. Now that would be a cool summer?

No chance of twining, OS! Our league campaign will be over well before the World Cup starts. I think this is a tough call, because arguably England look in better shape to win the World Cup than at any time in the last 40 years. But I'd still have to go for Sutton's promotion.

Don't think we'll have to worry about England winning the World Cup anytime soon. They are still as terrible as ever.
If I was to choose I'd like England to win the World Cup. This is because I know Sutton will be promoted again at some point, but I don't know whether I'll see England win the World Cup in my lifetime.

You will all be surprised at this but I would go for England winning the World Cup. Whilst they have done so in my lifetime, I was too young to remember it (although I watched it, apparently), I would love to experience it.
Sorry Garethl, we've qualified in superb fashion, played some great football under Capello & scored loads of goals. If that is England being terrible as ever, then you ain't got a clue mate.
I think it will be Spain or Brazil who will win it & no doubt the Germans will be somewhere towards the end of the competition.

Sorry but England! The benefit to the national game would be immense and far outway Sutton getting promoted i am sorry to say.I remember sitting in front of a 14" black and white TV watching in 1966 and it was magical. For the younger fans there aint nothing like it.Lets be greedy and have both.

Stuff the benefit to the National game, they are a bunch of over paid premadonnas who prance around the pitch (which should be a cat walk) playing the blandest football you will ever see. Even winning 3-0 at the weekend was drab and Belarus looked the far more attractive side to watch.
England are not very good and have played no one and were well beaten by the Ukraine, there are stats and there are damn lies?
The other thing about England is that like premiership football I don't feel a part of it, they don't care about me or my support and the closest I will get is row Z seat 995 and I don't want to be a dot or a sheep leaping out of my armchair. Not only would I rather Sutton get promoted but I would swap the world cup for a win at Hampton next week.

Promotion, unquestionably. Once upon a time the national side were the best team you could watch. Now the England team aren't as good to watch as Arsenal or ManU (and I doubt they could beat a top club side). Add to that the total disenchantment caused by the damage the "supporters" do to our country's reputation, I would happily see England fail to qualify for the big competitions. In fact if England hadn't qualified, I'd have gone to SA next year!
