From PD's match comments: So I hope that letter’s a one-off, and if the fans want me to stay I’ll stay, but if they don’t then I’ll go, which seems a strange thing to be saying after a result like this, because I think I’m doing quite a good job and have signed some good players.’’What makes PD think it was from a Sutton fan? I mean there might just be another team who would like to wind him up? As for PD staying if we want him too? Was this forever or just the end of the next decade I thought he was under unbreakable contract until the year 9999 ;D

Looking at what Dos said, the letter was obviously written by someone with no clue about Dos, the players, Sutton or the club, and decided to judge Dos's total performance on the Tonbridge match last week. We are entitiled to our opinions, but get your facts straight. If the person who wrote that reads this message board, then may I suggest a lobotomy (or go and follow the bobbins - same thing really!)
There really are some pillocks in this world.
I'll add my voice - Dos STAY!!!!

Doswell is quite simply a legend. He's the sort of manager that players would walk over hot coals for, and that fans adore.
DOS MUST STAY!

What short memories some people have, when PD came to the club it was like a breath of fresh air coming in, no doubt he has put some life back into the club, and yesterday it was there for everyone to see. As for the letter.........do what Tony Blair did with his expenses.....Shred it!!!!.

The bloke who wrote that letter should hang his head in shame. Obviously completely ignorant of what Dos does for the club, the passion he has for it and the brilliant way he gets the best out of the team.
If you were there yesterday mate, I hope you've already penned the letter of apology. Arsehole.
Dos has brought a smile back to this club as he said he would and yesterday's performance was the epitomy of what he his looking to achieve with regards to the style of play.
Of course we want you to stay Dos - don't let one complete moron make you think anything else.

I can only imagine what idiot wrote that and as someone previously said it could have from someone who supports another team.
Dos,ignore that rubbish as i can assure you that the vast majority of our supporters think you are doing a fantastic job.

Then again, if that letter had even the slightest positive influence on our win yesterday...

DOS the person who wrote that letter is a Tosser! The real fans were the ones at Hampton cheering the team on for 90mins to help the team progress to the next round. At the final whistle you could tell what the real fans think of you and the boys.Dont let one moron sour a great day for SUFC. We love and respect your passion for football and our club. Long may it continue. Many thanks from the true supporters.

If this person has the time to write an apparently abusive letter to the manager then I suggest he/she uses that time more effectively by helping with the multitude of things that need doing to keep the Club going. If Dos needs an antidote to this correspodence I am sure we could arrange about 4 or 500 hundred letters of support but better just to ignore what are quite obviously the rantings of someone who feels they know better but is clearly mad. If the letter was in response to the performance against Tonbridge, then everybody including the players and manager, agreed the performance was very poor but in general terms if all our players play to their best then we will do well, so I am not sure what point this person was making. If you play badly like we did against Angels then you take your "medicine" and move on to the next game and try to improve, that's what playing football is all about but then I suspect that this person has no experience of practical football or coaching and indeed probably forgot to take his own medicine prior to penning this less than useful message : a message written to a guy who has lifted the Club and needs support and not the unhelpful comments that were no doubt contained in the offending letter.

I still don't think it was from a Sutton Fan, I mean how many letters must Fergie get from Liverpool fans every week pretending to be ManU and suggesting he should leave? Good managers receive a lot more abusive mail then bad ones, so PD may have to get used to it The timing of the letter is all wrong as any Sutton fan wanting to have a dig would of waited until we had got thumped by Hampton.

Someone needs to get a life. Dos, you know (and you can see clearly from this thread) that you are very highly thought of at this club and none of us real fans want you to leave. So don't!

Sorry OS but you underestimate the ignorance of some of the paying public at GGL & also their malice. You only have to listen to some of the rubbish that gets yelled out at GGL to realise that.
