The best two real ale pubs in Hereford are both in St Owen Street (about 15 mins walk from the station and a similar distance from Edgar Street). Barrels (no.69) is a fairly basic (no food!) multi-roomed boozer owned by the Wye Valley brewery. Their beers include a lovely hoppy Bitter and Dorothy Goodbody's Wholesome Stout. The Victory (no. 88) is home to the Spinning Dog brewery. The main bar is shaped like a galleon. You can get food here, but the pub is sometimes closed at lunchtime. Bit like a trap door on a canoe?

speaking to ali tonight and she tells me they have 12 places left on the coach and for it to be feasible to run a second coach at a reasonable price she would want 40 more names

also please book no later than this saturday so ali has time to organise extra coach if needed as they have to be paid for in advance.

It is going to be the choo choo for me and am thinking of the 08:57 (or the one before) from Sutton arrive Hereford 13:30 via Worcester. I have a yearly season ticket and was advised to get cheap day return to Worcester (23 quid) then buy the Worcester - Herford separately.
