This may upset any Arsenal Supporters amongst us, but what about the Gambian Spur-winged Goose? (there is, honest!)

There will be no 'Spurs' references on our mascot not if you don't want to find feathers everywhere behind the Rec side terrace

A gander\goose was considered. But it was felt to be just a bit too obvious.
So you've got a giraffe.

Is our giraffe a cousin of Lanky the Lancashire Lightening cricket mascot!! I'd say more of a relation to Jeffrey who works for a large American owned chain of toy stores...

Toys R us sell a talking giraffe called Geoffrey (with an American accent). Sad that I know this but you will have to blame my second grand daughter who wanted one from my last US trip.

It's Andy who's nearly caused car crashes dressed as Mr Wimpy. I am however the same height as a giraffe
