More excellent journalism from the Guardian. They managed to get both goalscorers against Dartford wrong. How hard is it to go on the Official club website and check the report? Still, better than not writing about us at all!
What's the significance of a giraffe? Do they have them in Gambia???

We still await a decision on a name though? I reckon it should be 'Gander'

In no way am I saying this isn't a good idea, but surely a popinjay/parrot costume would work better?
Looking forward even more to Saturday now - the run-in starts here!

But they are not Choc and Amber are they? Plus a parrot is no good in the box, whereas Dos can always bring the Giraffe on if we need a little extra height uo front ;D

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I think it is a giraffe due to it being our colours, rather than the Gambian connection.

I have a plan! My little boy says he will get a form and suggest 'Gander' if I buy him a Kinder egg which seems very fair to me ;D

The toys in those things aren't as good as they used to be, less easily choke-able though which I suppose is a bonus.

Spotted the advert opposite the back page for soft toy versions of a giraffe at £2.49. Buy a job lot and flog them for a fiver once we've named him/her???........

If our mascot is going to enter the "Mascot Derby"against all the Lions ,Tigers etc.He will need to be bloody fast! Only one name will do. Usain. The fastest thing on the planet!
