Use the term 'fans' loosely.

If the Ryman decided you, Aveley and we should now play a round robin play off from scratch (ie wiping out our 4-2 win); or that we and Aveley should play for the place in next year's BSS; or that we should replay BWFC behind closed doors at their place or at any other venue; I'd accept any of those as symbolic redress for an unacceptable day's events at BWFC yesterday. Finally, before I forget my good manners as a guest on your Forum, good luck against Godalming in the SSC final. Cheers all, Simon I personally don't feel we have any right to replay our match or have a round robin, we may not be happy about it but we did lose fair and square. I can think of many instances where a fan(s) has run on to a pitch or something has been thrown but most are not replayed, I would say if anything Wood would be expelled leaving K's the promotion? Its also harsh on Wood as a club as they were clearly the local Nazi party rather than their supporters. Its a difficult one but should not involve us

In all honesty, yes I think K's should complain. Not appeal, but complain. I think it there is a principle that football grounds have safety officers for a reason, and BWs may not have been good enough. BW should be fined for it. But thats all really - no replay, that would be very unfair on Borehamwood as a team. It was one nutcase, not an entire pitch invasion.
It would, as I could imagine, have an effect on the players performance, but to say it had a negative effect on the whole team is stretching it a bit far - theres no reason why such incidents don't have the other effect and spur a team on, battling against adversity.
One thing I don't know was how much Duku was physically damaged by this - is he ok?

Do they really think it justifies a replay?

I am sure they know they will not get a replay but there is no harm asking the question. They need to do all they can for their club, same as anyone else and so are covering all bases.

Duku was apparently reporting blurred vision after the match.
It was him who got outjumped at the far post five minutes later for their crucial first goal.

Nothing new there, both U's goals last Tuesday came from our centre back winning a far post header.
Many years ago, I remember Fulham needing to beat Derby to have a chance of promotion to Div 1 and Derby needing to win to stay up. Derby won 1-0 but for the last 5 mins or so the Derby fans were over the fence & on the touchline. There were reports of Fulham players being triped etc by the fans. The result still stood.
I suspect BW will be charged with failing to control their fans but I can't see there being a replay. If so it would have to be behind closed doors.

There is certainly precedent for a game to be replayed after such incidents but I'm happy that we have appealed/complained and that the RPL will make their decision.
The main thing I'm happy about is that, whatever the RPL decide, we won't have to go to Boreham Wood again next year.

Could do if the BSS refuse them........... and save a club coming down instead! Wouldn't that be lovely!

Duke (at 06:01 today) - we don't know what we think it justifies but, as I said in my rather long posts above, the incident(s) were too serious to shrug off as a bad day at the office. Rupert Scallywag (brilliant name btw, posted at 08:58 today) - it's not as mercenary as you make it sound. This is not some 'damn we lost but - aha - here's a cunning Plan B'. That would be crass. There are much wider matters of principle at stake that go way beyond the simple questions of 'covering all the bases' and K's immediate future. If no action is taken, God help you all if you get an away draw at BWFC in the Trophy or FA Cup next season and decide to go there. The appeal is the only way to try to get the authorities finally to focus on the repetitive and unacceptable goings-on in and around BWFC.

Luton to request a replay after Boreham Wood fans 'kick off' at their play off against York In all seriousness, yet more shocking scenes.

Seems like York are requesting a reply because of behaviour of Luton fans now. Is there a dangerous precedent being set here?

Those pictures of the fans tell a real story don't they. One set having a great party, the other, well, as someone else said like a Nazi rally.
We all know that the Ryman League will never have a replay, sorry Simon, but as Taz said, you might get a decision before the start of the season!!
As for the Luton riot, it's Non-League football. We never had that kind of thing when we were in the Conference, or K's when they were there. (Apart from BW of course) I suppose now it's a pro league they have pro type hooligans. God help all non league fans.
Thanks for the comment Simon, I've enjoyed your posts on here!
