I'll lay good money he's Croydon's first summer signing. If he is, then it'll certainly signal their intent for the next season.

Nah I think he'll be Croydons. If he is asking for the same wages as he asked for last year, he's shown that he's not worth it based on this seasons performance. Dos was not willing to pay that much last year, and won't this year unless Jolly is proved to be value for money.

I'll be very very surprised if he were to sign for us. Dos might be prepared to stretch the budget for a goalscorer, but I seriously doubt it'll be enough to attract him. Chalmers shout of Bromley isn't a bad one, although he did say in the article that he wanted to stay at Ryman level.....

19 goals is not bad in side struggling against the drop so I don't see it as a dip in form as such. What I would say is that Jolly has never scored above RP level and Dos may prefer someone like Forbes who has scored a lot at BBS level?

Problem is I can't see Croydon Ath getting any further than RPL - surely the ground is not good enough & I'm talking as much a about access as the ground itself.

I doubt Jolly wants to play above Ryman level anyway. Got his own business etc etc and I'm sure he said summat about not fancying the travelling when he signed his deal down the road last year....

Surely if someone is ploughing money into the club they would also be keen to improve the ground to enable progression, otherwise what's the point?

I'm seem to remember hearing from somewhere that their owner was trying to buy some houses on Mayfield Road to improve access. Big ideas for a small club, you can almost see where and when it will go wrong already!!

They might do so garethl but if there is only so much that can be done because of location, size of plot, etc having the money to do it doesn't mean they can.
