So, when the players come out of the tunnel they have to run around one of the dugouts?

Yup. The joys of being equidistant from the halfway line.

Each team goes along one side and the referee has to jump over it. There, perfectly symmetrical.

I'm sure there is a very valid reason why they could not be moved a few more feet along away from each other - equally obviously.....

These dugouts have rendered the whole terrace beneath the stand useless as they obscure the view of 80% of the pitch.
Also, when players come out of the tunnel, all they see are some nasty breezeblocks.
Tear 'em down!

Personally speaking, it means I have had to move as I used to enjoy watching the first half on the half way line by the home dressing room. It was interesting to watch Dos and the coaches and see how they thought the performance was going, and an ideal plot if I fancied slipping into the bar at half time before the rush!

At least it should stop people congregating around the tunnel area.

Probably done so everyone now has to pay the £1 transfer fee to sit in the stand or maybe wait until half time and then get in for nothing.

At least it should stop people congregating around the tunnel area. Hey you're right - putting a whole pitch-side terrace out of action was well worth it for this outcome.

They're a lot better. A welcome addition in my mind. All changes to the ground which modernise it are good and they'll make Surrey FA and the FA more inclined to use the ground for cup competitions etc. That can only be a good thing.

Sorry but if they are closer to the pitch will they obscure the view from the stand enclosure? Or am I just reading this description wrongly?
The above was my post earler in the thread. Personally, I always thought the view from the enclosure wasn't that great anyway.
