We are not, you were told lots of clubs do it and responded by asking for examples so you have been given an example.

The only clubs that don't allow standing in front of the stand are where the seating is at such a height that standing obstructs the view. This is certainly not the case at Sutton and for as long as i can remember there have been many supporters who regularly view from there. Many improvements at Sutton are beneficial to the supporters but these dugouts are not.

So a few people who had poor views before now have to move... and get significantly better views.

It does seem to render a fairly reasonable part of the ground useless from a spectator's point of view which seems odd. Granted there are other places to go currently but I am still not sure of the wisdom of ruling out such a large area.

Common sense would have dictated that if they are to be where they are then they should have been much lower.ie sunk into the ground.

It would have taken just a day's labout for two or three men to dig the dug-outs down. The height difference between the half-built ones as seen vs Palace and the full-size ones - what is it four blocks? This needs remedying before the proper season starts.

Yep I'm pretty sure there are signs there asking people not to stand in that area - this was at least last year possible for many years. Standing in that area has been a no no for many years but hard to enforce. What makes it worse are the people who need to get in at h/t early to swallow a couple of pints and stand in positions that are out of bounds but when stewards intervene they are called jobsworths. Nuff said I think. I know because I used to TRY and control that section. As Taz said there are many better places to view the match and if all the moaners could put in 2 hours each a week on SUFC business that would help. Thanks but with any anticipation. Put up or shut up I say. I know everyone is entitled and all that but let's look at the positives please.

What's wrong with standing there? Who are you, King of the High-Viz Jackets? Why do you want to 'control' people?
People like you put off more people from coming.
What are the positives of these new dug-outs?

Will you still be able to see down to the other end of the pitch if you stand down the sides away from the stands?
From what I can see from the pictures they dont look particuarly attractive but they did need updating! Lets hope our football on the pitch this season is a bit more attractive than the new dugouts

Vern why not go over to the C R side and get a raised view and you can moan your socks off to the others doing the same.
