A bit surprised to see that JDS can go as haven't seen from his brief performances alone that he's done much wrong. Maybe things look different in training but it's obviously Dos' perogative and can only wish him well. Dunford has had more chances and although he's been asked to play in a variety of positions, when in midfield other players have shone alot more and having come to our level and not got a regular starting place and as he's having to travel from the IOW/Portsmouth region i can understand his release allowing him to go back to Newport IOW or another club by the coast.
Dos has said before that he'd go this year if we don't go up so nothing new in there. I see Jon the Amber on Facebook is saying Dos has quit today!!! I imagine he's heard about this story and got his wires crossed!!

False info - Not true, just spoke to PD about something else and the article is all about how committed the manager is to getting promoted this season.

There are a couple of good mid-fielders looking for a club having just left Croydon Athletic. Tom Hutcheson for one.

Tom Dunford looked excellent in pre season before he went walk about but since then he has not really performed for us, maybe his mind was elsewhere? As for Jerson, I have not really seen enough to form a opinion but PD will have seen him week in week out.
My Guess is that PD already has a player or 2 lined up and looking at Croydon's ex staff would make sense.
As for Dos saying he is leaving at the end of the season if we don't get promoted, theres nothing new in that.

Dunford was one of the 2 from sat starting xi I thought had no place at this level. He is pretty good technically but physically could never see him competing.

Thought Tom Hutchinson was centre back and brother Ed was centre mid.

For me Tom Dunford was a reasonable player and the way he filled in at Tooting at right back suggested to me he was worth holding on to.Jerson hasn't really had a chance to show as a forward but really impressed me in the friendlies and once again worth holding on to.However if Dos has lined up some relacements then so be it and we all know about his revolving door! I hope this isn't just a knee jerk reaction to the cup exit and more something that he's planned for weeks.

Shame about Jerson, but it seems if your not an instant hit with Dos when you get 25 mins your out of that revolving door , the younger players need to be given time on the pitch to make the step up from reserve football and I don,t think it helps them when the manager tells all they are not good enough, that should be kept inhouse.

JDS looked a real alent a couple of years ago but then went walk about, allegedly on the advice of an agent and I don't think he's looked the same player or certainly has not on from that obvious potential. Good luck to him though.
Tom looked great in that first friendly but again has not shone since, although he has been played in unfamiliar roles (for him).
Normally, Dos has lined up a rplacement or two so I would expect to read some more transfer activity soon.

Presumably this is primarily a budget issue. We need to strenghten the sqaud (quite clearly after Saturday's showing) and we can only sign new players if we get existing players of the payroll.
As for Dos going if we are not promoted, assuming we make at least the play-offs this year, I would hope the club would do everything to keep him, as three successive play-off seasons is a fine record. Of course, if he gets an opportunity at a Conf club, you couldn't blame him for taking it, but it would be Sutton's loss.
