I never know where to look! There's probably a good reason why the club haven't announced anything yet but it would be nice to know before i arrive at Bury.

I know the site is good ,but just lately it's a bit lax,for instance ,that was nothing about Forbes when he signed.not every body can tweet or boethers to come on amberplanet, and they have a right to know.

Personally i think the element of surprise can work well and throw the opposition off a bit if a new player appears on a saturday and give you that little advantage you need sometimes.

We have had this conversation many times before, the club will only announce things once all paperwork is signed. Clearly today things have been moving and I guess much of that will be by phone, hence Jolly can tweet. A player may say he is signing for us, may even agree it but until he signs its foolish for the club to announce anything. Tonight is training night so no doubt there will be news later

Maybe Jolls was a bit too quick off the mark with his Twitter post. The club likes to wait until all the paperwork has been finalised before making an announcement.
I am a bit concerned about the timing of this. We've got some big games coming up and don't want to be short of strikers. Then again, Jolls perhaps needs to start games regularly to rediscover his scoring touch. I believe Wealdstone is one of his former clubs.

We announced the Andy Forbes loan in October as soon as it was done, well before he made his debut v Tooting. It wasn't our fault that news was released elsewhere several hours before I even met Andy to complete the paperwork. Three times this season deals that seemed done and dusted didn't go ahead, which is why we only make announcements when documentation is completed.

Wealdstone is where Jolls made his name. I hope he gets plenty of supply, racks of goals and more importantly, returns to us.

Nothing on the official site, thats what i call keeping the fans informed with what's going on at the club they support. I think CoSec has covered it and it has been stated before that we won't release news until details are finalised with relevant dottings and crossings in place. With regards to signings, the manager often (and perfectly reasonably) likes details to be kept quiet wherever possible so as not to alert opposition etc. Finally, please always bear in mind that website updates are reliant on volunteers having access at the time and occasionally the small annoyances such as work or family can get in the way of football matters. One cannot always be immediately reactive.

Again from Twitter - Jolly states " I was told I was going on loan"
Interesting

Why is that 'interesting'?

Because the implication is that it was not his choice

Of course, if he does start scoring at Wealdstone (and I hope he does), it will raise questions about why he couldn't do it at Sutton.

Apologies for intruding, but having seen you lot play a couple of times this season, you could try passing to him. When he was with us he seemed to score more often when we gave him the ball. Just an idea. ;D
