Speaking to one of their fans he said they were moving to a new ground next season, not that that makes poor facilities ok but.

I really came away disappointed on a case of 'what should have been'. The game really changed after the sending off - I didn't see it either, and i'm pretty sure the ref didn't either. Focussing on some of the positives, that was one of the more convincing performances of recent weeks - especially in the 2nd half.
I saw nothing special about Bury - working well as a team, but nothing spectacular. A better team would have punished us.
I'm going to get shot down here by some i'm sure, but as this forum is about opinions, so here's my tuppence. Personally i didn't think that Bury were 'cheaters' - there was some gamesmanship happening, but nothing that I think is above and beyond what is normal at this level. I also understand chants or shouts of 'cheat' at certain players who are taking it a little too far. But to start mouthing off at the keeper for example calling him a cheat is just plain stupid. As is throwing coke cans on the pitch into the keepers area ( I didn't see who did it, but frakeys reaction was dead right!). I have and always will be proud to be a Sutton supporter, but I don't want to be tarred with the same brush as idiots from other clubs that have less savory surrporters.
As for the ref - utter plonker. He needs to be consistent on what he awards and what he doesn't. Regardless of the result, today he didn't. Even if he made a total tosh up of every decision he made, it would even be passable if it happened on both sides. Today it really didn't. But then again, we can't blame the ref for either of the two goals Bury scored and us only scoring one.
Two games against relegation threatened teams now. Regardless of current form of Croydon or Aveley, these are games we need to win. Lowestoft managed it today, and are looking the really big threat now

A much improved performance on recent weeks, and although they have to be won a much better path to the end of the season then many of our rivals. A point today is not as important as out next 2 home games, while we play Croydon and Aveley, Bury have 2 long journeys this week and they don't travel well. Lowestoft have 2 nightmare games away at Cray on Tuesday and away to inform Tonbridge next Saturday.

Certainly this was an improved performance, perhaps our best of 2011 so far, and we looked a much better side than against Concord a week ago. But good performances count for nowt if you lose the game! 1-0 up inside the first two minutes, we then found ourselves a goal and a man down at half-time. Not very clever away from home against one of your rivals for the title. We put in a really good shift in the second half but it was always asking a lot to come back from that deficit. Bury are a decent enough team but nothing special. If we lose top spot to them then frankly our players deserve a massive kick up the backside. This defeat was not catastrophic but it really narrows our margin for error. We've got two home games coming up against struggling sides and if we don't win both of those then we can expect to travel to Cray in a fortnight's time as deposed favourites for the title.

Thats odd the ref had a perfect view but it was the linesman who persuaded him.

Having watched the 'highlights', I'd definitely say that was a red card offense. If an oppo player had done that, I'd be screaming my head off for him to walk.
Don't think the 'highlights' are balanced, unlike ours, so will go on what people have been saying. Seems like an improved performance (although things could not have gotten worse). However, moments of indiscipline cost us greatly for the goals and red card. Still not good enough to win the league I'm afraid.
Question for those who went. Did we look like we missed Jolly's movement and energy up front? Certainly in the games I have seen where he has not started we have missed an edge and despite Dos's explanations I still think letting him out on loan at such a critical point in the season will cost us. I hope I am proved wrong on that one.
We now have two home games which quite simply are must wins. Anything else will simply not do and would confirm that we are throwing away title and possibly promotion chances. The lads have got to pull their socks up and show they want this title. I never thought that, after the collapse they suffered, that I would be thinking of the home game against Croydon as a massive game, but that is what we have made it.

Our support is good in so many ways, numbers that travel, general backing. However it seems to have become more and more vile in terms of abuse given out to opposition. F off to anything that moves that isn't Sutton, w***** that. Bury did nothing above what any other ordinary semi pro club would do yesterday. We should concentrate on more vocal backing for our team and not the oppo IMO

Having watched the highlights. Deffo red card. I didn't think it looked as bad at the time, but from the camera angle & the refs view, you can clearly see there's intent.

Looks like a red to me too, but surely the Bury player has to be booked for that challenge?
This is what I said on Friday:
"I believe we are best side in the league and are more than capable of winning up there. We are also at risk from friendly fire"
I think the latter came true and its so bloody frustrating !

Shame there's no full speed replay of the Quarm incident. Or indeed anything on the challenge on Ebsworth or our best chance in the second half.

Red for me but their fella got away with the challenge.
Highlights were appallingly unbalanced with regards to the 2nd half but having seen the highlights they produced of the K's & Concord matches, no surprises there.

Throwing any object onto the field of play is totally and utterly unacceptable. Since when did we pick up idiots who would even think of doing that? I would fully understand if the club took action against any idiot claiming to be a Sutton 'supporter' who throws objects onto the field. This can be dangerous to all in the game and is not smart or cleaver, just plain stupid. Genuine support for the lads please, not moronic displays to equal those of other clubs as Andy K states. .

We also had supporters shouting abuse at a little league football team for singing songs in supporting their team!!!

I noticed that too! I'm afraid some of our fans aren't the full shilling (or don't act like they are) and once one thing has gone against us they question every decision & accuse everybody else of anything.
I tend to aim my frustration at the officials (if warranted) or put my boot through the odd advertising hoarding! Although I thought their 4 got Kenny booked yesterday. The ref didn't look like he was gonna blow until he started screaming. Funny how he got up & walked off without having treatment once the yellow card had been brandished.
Anyone read their manager's notes about their ref against Concord? Blimey, he went for it & actually accused him of being biased. I suppose he thought the ref yesterday was brilliant!
