The stewards are faced with an impossible task as , sadly , fewer and fewer people seem to know how to behave in public nowadays.
Even at Lord's where you are issued with a rulebook of do's and dont's with your tickets the rules go out the window. In fact the Warner Stand this season was far worse than anything i've ever encountered at The Oval.

To true Mr. F, I went today and on Wednesday. When I left on Wednesday (lunch) Surrey were on top, having taken four wickets.... Today, Surrey collapsed in their first innings 117 all out. I stayed till tea, when they were 114-4. Got home and found that Surrey were 306-6 a lead of 115!! My POY Tom Maynard 105 NO!

You missed two great knocks , especially Tom Maynard's.Zander de Bruyn was out to an unbelievable catch by Chris Rogers.I think that's turned it right back in favour of Middlesex , but you never know !

At Cheam today.Second team game , supposed to be 40 overs each.
Surrey 76 all out Kent 80 for 2 in the 12th over
Surrey fielded a few first teamers , Kent didn't.

Thought some of you would like an update re Sutton CC cricket season. The 1st XI survived in the Premier Division (Cheam and Ashtead were relegated). The 2nd XI were Div 1 champions and return to their Premier Division. The 3rd XI were Div 1 champions and return to their Premier Division. The 4th XI were runners up in Div 2 of the Surrey Cricket league and were promoted to Division 1. The 5th XI were relegated from the 4th XI Premier Division and look set to play in the Central Division in 2012 (against other clubs 4th XI's).
We hosted the Bertie Joel Cup Final yesterday where Cambridge Granta beat Basingstoke & North Hants by 5 wkts.

I've got them but not the ones i wanted.I gave up waiting for someone at Surrey to answer the phone yesterday and opted for a deal that Lord's were advertising until last night.
Four tickets for £100 , the only trouble being i don't know where in the ground i'll be until the tickets turn up.

It's probably too late for this season but could you please let us know in this thread of any games being played round there ? I managed to get to most of Sutton's home games but don't get to hear of any extras.Thanks.
