That's now a HT score. According to nln24, the second goal was actually scored by 'Orilonshire'. Dos already trying out new players for next season??

Elsewhere in the League: Harrow 2-0 Tonbridge. Margate 0-3 Lowestoft. Bury Town 1-1 Maidstone.
That could spell the end of Tonbridge's season, but it gets Harrow into the playoff spots. Lowestoft look to be securing 2nd. Who knows what could happen? It's incredibly close.

The attendance for our game was 369. That's Folkestone's third highest gate of the season (Margate and Tonbridge first and second).

Fantastic day out, with weather, match atmosphere and result just perfect. The on-field action was nearly all in the first half, with the game petering out rather in the second. But the Sutton faithful kept the noise going, and fair play to the Folkestone fans for matching us.

party atmosphere - oddly enough overshadowing what happened on the pitch. We were pretty much in control for most of the game, but to be fair do Folkstone, they had more chances than, say Hastings did the previous week. Two class goals, could have been more, Davis skyed it from 6 yards out, and Bradley saw one whip across the face of goal.
Banter between two clubs fantastic - probably the best set of fans we've seen all season - a real credit to their club, and probably the only time i've witnessed Taz NOT getting pissed off with a drum.

Superb day, lovely weather and a fantastic atmosphere with the U's fans singing non-stop from the 1st whistle until well after the final one. There were a few U's fans a little worse for wear having difficulty negotiating the terrace steps and focusing on the match etc but most managed to keep their beer in the glasses Folkestone to their credit were great hosts, joining in with their drum and generally making a racket, even the PA guy played "We Are The Champions" at the end for us which was a nice touch. Good to see so many happy faces and pat the likes of Dos and Paney on the back for what they have done. As for the match well we played that in second gear without really needing to move out of it, Folkestone did hit the post and bar later on plus pulled a fine save out of big Wayne, but in truth we were not stretched at the back. We scored 2 in the first half, low shot from Jolls and one from Fola after the keeper could only parry Leroy's drive, but could have had a couple more. Their number 11 went for some form of decent after the ball bounced up in the box and hit the elbow of Kennedy (I think), looked quite innocuous to me but despite the U's players efforts to persuade the ref not to show the red he did anyway. My only problem is that its a shame that some Folkestone supporters made derogatory chants towards Wayne. I don't like it and don't think there is any call for it and in my book its no different from racism!!

Low key match today, which, with neither team having much to play for, was always on the card.
It might be lovely weather but it ain't football weather & I doubt much fun to play in & it probalby was a reason for the pedestrian second half from both sides. Can't say I blame either set of players for that.
There was not a bad challenge in the match but apparently their fella called the ref a cheat when Steve McKimm showe some awkward control when the ball bounced lively off the rock hard surface. Steve didn't appear to handle and if you call a ref a cheat you should get a red. Us ref's hate being called that.
Robins win will give them some confidence, so with a few records at stake, I suspect Monday will be a little different and hopefully a tad cooler.
2 more wins would be nice but I'd take a dip at Billericay for 3 points on Monday.

"We're gonna score one for Folkestone" will definitely be chanted for a great set of fans we met today when we play Dover

Typical end of season fare today, played in the kind of weather normally associated with pre-season. We played some decent stuff in the 1st half, and got two well-taken goals from Jolls and Fola. I can't recall to much of the 2nd half in terms of on-field action. But the Folkestone fans were great, a real credit to their club.
