Should we use this for next year's budget?! I can't see where there are any decent earners this season, perhaps Dundas aside. If it is being used for this year I will probably wait to contribute until next year now.

I do hope that was tongue-in-cheek.

Nope, quite common for clubs to cut at this time of year to cut back when there is not much to play for. I will save my funds for next season now as it will be put to better use then. I left Downer out of the post above. Like you said on another thread we've done well for a few seasons and we can't argue with where Dos has taken us. But funds towards this season IMO will be going into a black hole.

I was more interested in your "decent earners" comment than the quid or whatever you drop in a bucket every home game. What were you expecting this season, the title?

No, I was hoping we'd compete for the play offs but thought mid table would be fine for where we are at the minute.

You can be assured that planning for next season has been very much on the agenda for some time. "Boost the Budget" is an initiative aimed purely at helping to enable us to compete at the highest level we can on the pitch. As such funds collected now will also be doing their bit towards facilitating that planning process as we look forward to next season too.
Every bit helps towards helping us to strive to achieve our goals.

£60.04 was collected in last night's "Boost the Budget" bucket collection. Thank you all very much for your contributions once more.
John Warner owned the winning ticket - yellow 642 - and wins free entry to Monday's match v Boreham Wood. He declined the chance to brave the elements and take on the " crossbar challenge ". His, and everyone else's, continued support for this scheme is much appreciated.

£70.04 was collected in today's "Boost the Budget" bucket collection. Thank you all very much for your generosity once again and to Colin and Darren for helping with the collection.
White 393 was the wining ticket owned by David Burgess who wins free entry to next Saturday's match v Billericay. His attempt at the "crossbar challenge" ( from an interesting angle) finished just wide of the left hand post.
Thanks to David, and to everyone who contributed, for taking part in this scheme once more.
£1,467.46 has now been collected this season via this scheme, a figure turned into £1,976.12 courtesy of our mystery benefactor.
Onwards and upwards. Up the U's!

£102.08 was collected in today's "Boost the Budget" bucket collection. Thank you all very much for your generous contributions once again. The ongoing support for the scheme is just terrific.
Anthony Pearce was the holder of the winning ticket - yellow 818; he wins free entry to one of our remaining home League matches. His attempt at the "crossbar challenge" was not successful but our thanks go to him and to all contributors for taking part in the initiative again today.
£1,569.54 has now been collected via this scheme this season. Thanks to the very generous gesture of our fan who wishes to remain anonymous, this figure has now topped £2,000 - in fact the exact sum is presently £2,180.28.....with three home League games to go. Let's see what figure we can get to!
Wonderful support. Thank you all again.

The total contributed to tonight's "Boost the Budget" bucket collection came to £60.05. Thank you all once more for your generosity.
Adam Beeney was the holder of winning ticket yellow 856; he wins free entry to our forthcoming home game v Salisbury. His attempt at the crossbar challenge found the net but sadly not via the bar. Thanks to him and everyone who contributed tonight.
£1,629.59 has now been collected this season turning into £2,300.38 thanks to our mystery benefactor. Superb.
Two games to go....

A healthy £110.76 was collected in yesterday's "Boost the Budget" scheme, which raises the cumulative contribution for the season to £1,740.35, a figure now worth £2,521.90 thanks to our mystery fan's pledge.
Thank you all very much for your generous contributions once more. It all really helps.
White ticket 669 was the winner, owned by Daniel Olding who wins free entry to tomorrow night's last home League match of the season v Salisbury. He didn't succeed with his attempt at the "crossbar challenge" but thanks to him and all other contributors for their support once again.
The scheme finishes tomorrow night - just one more game left to nudge us up to a final total of £2,750 from this collection. Another great example of how we really are "in this together".
Onwards and upwards. Up the U's!

£75.71 was collected in last night's final "Boost the Budget" bucket collection of the season. Thank you all once more for your generosity last night and indeed for the whole season.
The final sum collected via the scheme is £1,816.06.
Our mystery benefactor turned that total into an amazing £2,673.32. Our very grateful thanks to him/her.
Thanks also to everyone who helped with the collection throughout the season, especially the admirable Colin Payne who patrolled the GGL entrance with élan, enthusiasm and no little charm week after week.
This scheme, and the total generated, is just another demonstration of what great fans we have and how we really are "in this together".
Thank you all again.
Onwards and upwards. Up the U's!
PS White ticket 735 was last night's (unclaimed) winner; whoever I saw before Rambo will find the ticket in his/ her pocket this morning - he had ticket 736!
