Winkle, did you play in the reserves last year? Although its kind of been mentioned before, we played some beautiful football last season, and there were highlights. It was never IH's coaching skills and how to play good football that was in question. Best of luck Ian, hope you stay in the game and prove your doubters wrong elsewhere. I never actually spoke to IH so can't comment on how much of a nice guy he was, but i'll believe the other supporters who did. All the best

Look at the time of the postings, Winkle has been on the sauce, not like him for a Monday night though!
Why don't we see if the "special one" is available for free. Now I know he's not allowed back into English football just yet but I'm sure Chelski wouldn't mind given how far below them we are and think how many new fans we would get!
I don't want Peter Taylor by the way, a manager with a proven track record will do.

Winkle's email address tells a thousand stories. I expected better of him.

There is so little time to at least start to get things back on track, given the complete lack of confidence and morale in the team, that I think ideally we need a good motivator with plenty of experience, preferably at this level or higher (not easy to find I know). Bruce said that there were a number of outstanding candidates when Ian was appointed. If any match this description and are still available, perhaps they could be approached. Stuart and Able have the Sutton connections, but no real record of success in management (though I appreciate that they were at small clubs).
