The small sanded area is vastly improved, caveat only re match referee, really shouldn't be any problems and the vast majority of the pitch is excellent.

Comfortably the best home performance of the season. A great effort. Not without moments of luck such as one of the worst misses ever seen, but thoroughly deserved. Took us a while but we eventually managed to put a couple of chances away. Too many good displays to name.

Superb performance. Bossed the first half and were very unlucky when Jamie hit the woodwork and we had numerous good chances and several times we carved the centre of the welling defence wide open with the low through ball and excellent movement. At the other end rock solid with four at the back and Wayne doing his stuff. Stroke of half time we get a pen but the keeper guessed right and you couldn't help thinking here we go again with nowt to show for loads of pressure and decent chances.
Expecting this fancied welling team to come out hot second half, never happened as again we were the sharper side with Marv causing chaos and Harry o running their big lads ragged. First goal brilliantly worked. Big Tom coming up for a throw, downs finding him and dundo burying it. Here we go. And still we kept pressing with loads of success through the channels and round the back of a literally flat back four and our second from Harry o brilliantly finished and thoroughly deserved.
We could have got a third as we kept running but instead a blocked off clearance fell kindly at the other end for them and they pulled one back. But no panic, we didn't drop deep and kept pushing forward but still, a relief when the whistle went.
Brilliant effort, not least by the ground staff for getting the game on. If welling are a top side then I wish we could play a top side every week as it must fire our boys up. Everyone did their bit tonight and what a massive confidence boost. Not going to pick a motm. Absolutely no need. Oh yes, ref missed loads including a nasty cynical hack on Marv just he was breaking out of defence into acres of space. Didn't manage to wreck it for us though. On we go.

Best performance of the season - with the possible exception of Staines away - and that's four points we've taken from Welling. On a pitch that looked in remarkably good nick considering the recent battering it's taken we played some lovely football, helped by a ref who clearly liked to let the game flow - though both sides will probably feel that he let rather too much go! Yet at half-time we sensed a familiar story; Sutton had dominated the first thirty minutes with nothing to show for it then squandered a great chance to take the lead when Sam's penalty was saved. In the second half we didn't have quite as much of the ball but did score two very well crafted goals, Harry O flicking on for Dundo to bury the first then smacking home the second from Marv's cut-back. Welling may well feel they didn't do themselves justice, not least early in the second half when leading scorer Ross Lafayette blasted over an open goal (in almost Watsonesque fashion) after a rare mistake by Deputy Wayne, although the same player did tap in a late consolation for the Wings. So that's a shift of seven places up the table and a positive goal difference at last. Things may be coming together.

How I love pressing football, the way the game should be played and it works. Lose the ball go get it back, deny space and time when you have the ball simple passing, good movement and you will walk away with the points every time. Tonight the whole team did that brilliantly, helped by what was a fantastic surface given the recent weather. Its right not to pick a MOTM, Tom Jordan looks the ticket, Leroy is home where he belongs and our class players showed exactly that. Welling will think the same as Eastleigh they had a poor day at the office, but you know we have bossed and beaten both with end score lines flattering the losing sides. Apart from that mistake at the end which denied us a clean sheet, Welling should be grateful they didn't ship 4 or 5 because they were totally outclassed after the first 15mins. Yes best performance of the season for me too

Well, that's more like it. Although we've won a few times now, and having not been at the Staines game, that to me was our performance of the season. We made a very good side look very shaky.
First half reminded me of a match at Borehamwood a few seasons back, where we played fast, free flowing attacking football. Dos had done his homework with the line up, keeping a very solid line at the back and a strong midfield and drawing their defence into the centre, which gave Leroy and Marvin lots of space on the flanks to create chances. We got stronger and stronger, and right up to the point where Jamie's bullet header would have only been stopped by the woodwork - there would have been no way their keeper or defenders would have stopped that.
Then the penalty, which to be honest was a result of their defence just being unable to cope with us rather than anything malicious. In the midsts of time, that miss will be forgotten, but we really need to take those chances better when offered on a plate.
2nd half I expected a slowing down, but that actually didn't happen, and eventually we broke through. yet again a bit of Dundo magic, but what a great flick on from Harry O. And Harry, who was totally my MoM tonight, got his reward thanks to some lovely work from Marvin on the right.
Shame they got their goal, otherwise we'd have been the first side this season in the league to keep a clean sheet against them.
Tonight was a proper return to form. Something we've threatened to do all season, but failed. Amazing how one game can give you confidence in a side.
Another major thing about tonight was the team unity. There were 11 players out there playing for each other and the management. Again first time its been so obvious this season, and it was rewarded handsomely.
I know we won't be able to perform like tonight every game, but as the Aleman said, things maybe coming together.
