What are the chances of this going ahead with the rain yesterday and snow today?

Surely its close to zero. When I saw that we had three home games in 8 days I immediately wondered how that would be possible. One game at this time is gonna destroy the poor old pitch. Gonna be tough for the team, playing two games a week for the rest of the season pretty much, especially on the heavy pitches. While I dont for a second think we'll be near the bottom 3 come May I think, unless we put a really good run together now without more than a handful more postponements, it will be tough to push for the play offs unless we get some crazy momentum like basingstoke last year. Its not really fair is it? They say the league doesnt lie but to me its lying its face off right now for us!

I managed to get a look at the pitch but only from a distance as I jumped on the train at west sutton this morning. I am guessing it would take a herculean effort and a massive slice of luck to get this on. From what I could see there was a layer of ice/sleet on top of what I guess was already a well-soaked turf from yesterday. A nightmare combination and its still coming down - can only wish the ground staff the very best and hope for a break, what else can you say as this season stutters along

Not surprisingly, Kingstonian v Concord tonight has been postponed. And Borehamwoods game tonight is also off.
There are some of us that remember a Borehamwood evening game with us a few seasons ago that was called off 10min prior to kick off due to snow!

What a bunch of pessimists! If the match were scheduled for this evening then, yes, it would probably be called off. But the forecast for the next 36 hours is for dry weather. There's time yet for the pitch to firm up.

AA is correct we don't want to put off the floating fan. 'floating' being the operative word here

AA is correct we don't want to put off the floating fan. I really dont see that happening because we discuss whether a match is likely to be on or off. We will be lucky if we even get 24 hours without precipitation so it will need a miracle to go ahead.

Billericay's game at home to our Saturday opponents, Eastboune, has been postponed. Their pitch must be in an even worse state than ours. 'Ricay haven't played a home game since New Year's Day!
