Interesting to see Craig Tanner back at left back. Must be a while since he played there.

AJ has had some good games, but we've looked open in defence down the left recently, so let's hope this change helps.

goals in 30th and 31st minute They say you're at your most vulnerable having just scored. Seems Eastbourne have never heard that one.

spoke to Gareth at half time and he said that we looked the better side in the first half. Just heard on BBC's SCORE something like that said about Bolton against Arsenal and they are now bottom of the table after losing 2-0. I am afraid being the better side for a proportion of the game and losing 3-0 will not get us out of this situation. Its when we can turn the good periods of play into GOALS and then holding on to get a positive result is when will see if there is enough to get us to safety.

Just back from one of the most one sided 3-0 defeats I have even seen, we bossed the game from the 1st minute to missing the penalty in @75th. We hit the post and crossbar and one Eastbourne fan told me that we were the best side seen at Priory lane this season. Two of their goals were just the ball bobbling around getting deflections galore and the luck of the ball end up at the strikers feet, something that did not go for us all afternoon not a single bit of luck or 50/50 went our way. Craig / Warren / Henry were all excellent and our general play was a level above anything in this division.
Apart from the Pen, the post, the crossbar, failure to connect on low crosses by about 1/4 inch, another clear pen not given its the best performance I have seen from a Us team this season.
The ref was a homer and the stewards clamped down on smoking but ignored incitement towards Us supporters.
I don't know what to think after today as we looked the best team in the league, yet we are bottom and conceded 3 without scoring, football is a cruel game when it wants to be!

Well today was even more frustrating. If the score was dependent on possession we would have whipped Eastbourne. They realy only had 4 shots, and scored with 3 of them. There was no time during the match where they clearly looked the better side. Jason Henry hit the post, Warren hit the bar with a header, Watkins would have got a great goal if he was an inch further forward and Quinton had a great shot blocked.
But when you are down on your luck, these things don't go right. The Weston game we were lucky for the final score to be 3-0. Today the scoreline didn't reflect how we played.
At the end of the day, another defeat leaves us more in trouble however.
Highlight of today was Jason Henry, by far his best game in a Sutton shirt, and he was more of attacking midfielder than an out and out striker. I think a change in his position is needed.
