I'd like to echo those comments about Jason Henry, have we found the best place for him? It certainly worked when Matt Gray was moved from centre forward to midfield/right wing, so it may well be worth giving Jason a run behind the strikers. He's got the pace and it would take the pressure off him to score, which he doesn't look like doing at first team level yet. Obviously I wasn't there yesterday, but it seems we played well, had much of the game and still lose 3-0. Whoever the new manager is, he's got a major task to pull us round - anyone for a really terrible 1-0 win ?

We played well yesterday, yes...but, our defending for the three goals was awful, no challenges & each time they just cut through us; at the other end, we just can't score & I'm afraid if we can't get it right in the last third of each end of the pitch, we will cntinue to get beaten. The lads put in loads of effort & played some great stuff yesterday but we still lost 3-0. Another crap ref who missed the blatant foul on Bash when it was 0-0, still would we have converted the penalty? Generally though, he was bloody awful.
Their fans had the hump because we had the gall to respond to their taunts, while they banged their drums like the demented morons they appear to be. Let's hope they remember that they're banned at GGL.
As for the comment from our Director. I too heard that had been said but I suspect it was tongue-in-cheek, although the way results are going & the way are crowds are subsequently dropping, if not actually club policy, he may have a case!!

Er, I know who it was - why do you have to start a witch hunt? Don't you think the club has enough to deal with at the moment? I wasn't privvy to the conversation but as I said earlier, no doubt a tongue-in-cheek comment that is being blown out of all proportion.

Sorry all, I did not intend for to stir up trouble. I got my answer straight away from Dave, and that's where it should end please. I have always found that he's as honest as he can be on here, and if he says there's no truth in the rumour that should be good enough!

Of course, if we were to go down then we could find ourselves with a few tasty local derbies - AFC Wimbledon, Carshalton, Kingstonian, Tooting & Mitcham. Gates might even go up!
I certainly don't want to see us back in the Ryman, but I recognise that there would be some compensations. I'd hazard a guess that the management committee take a smilar view.

From a personal point of view, if any Director ever said that to me then either he would have to resign or I would. I can imagine Bruce has already rung you up to tell you he thinks we're a Ryman side... [hide behind wall smiley]

I may not be a director, but as a serving member of the management committee I certainly don't want to be relegated.

) He told me that some of their supporters were saying we were one of the worst set of supporters they come across. Just out of interest, in what respect BH? On the subject of support, I'm getting fed up going down there and being baited by groups of kids. If they don't do anything about them soon, then they'll just end up baiting the wrong fans and coming off worse. Still shocked that we didn't get anything out of the game, but we really need to get the manager situation sorted asap so that we can sign a striker. The break after tomorrow's game will be good for everyone concerned I think.

I can't remember an Eastbourne trip where the little oiks have not acted in that way, although last year was a lot worse in my opinion. Its such a shame that with the number of stewards they have there, that nothing is done about it. One day they will come across a nasty group of fans and it will kick off.
