I think we keep swapping between criticism and opinion, I prefer opinion.
After sitting and watching all our home again to make the highlights, the one thing which comes across to me is that we are not very direct anymore. We get forward and do that Arsenal thing of turning around and looking for a square or backward pass. We have got caught a number of times doing this with Havant away a great example of how a ball that should have come into the oppos box ends up in our net 20secs later. We are not driving into the oppos box, we are not playing through balls on the ground which is what players like SP and even CW thrive on (even if CW did miss a few). I cannot remember a season when we have had so few one on ones? A lot of the balls played forward are head high needing someone like Dundo and even HarryO to bring down before they can do anything with it. Our crossing has been generally awful. I wonder about our midfield, is Dundo right there? Rivs has had injury problems and hasn't played as well this season?

Erm Stefan Payne and Gareth Gwillim at Ebbsfleet. At the time of writing they are in the BSS which is....erm a higher level. But only to the end of this season probably. Hands up all those who thought we ought to keep either Stefan or Gareth. It's a bit rich criticising the player policy when you think what it has delivered over the last four seasons. I hope you don't think I've criticised player policy! I was just making an observation about a couple of players! In terms of the hands up, my hand would have been half up for Gareth, and very down for Stefan!

I assume I'm the only person that thought Scrivs was ordinary and prefer Tom as a goalkeeper. Tom certainly has huge potential. Scrivs made far too many mistakes this season, perhaps because he wasn't fully fit but then if this was the case he shouldn't have played

I for one think if Folkes can improve his delivery he will make a very good winger the amount of times he got into a good position against farnbourough and won us a corner with a better delivery there will be more goals go in

Yes. I think that's good perspective from mark. I have missed the last two games as I've been five thousand miles away but can fully understand the anger and frustration vented on here and from what col and duke have said on the blog that anger and frustration is shared by the gaffer. Sorry to see Harry o go as I think he has worked damned hard but if a deal can't be done that's life and there was also no chance scrivs was going to keep the bench warm indefinitely. The revolving door is just a fact of life at this level and Dos appears to be saying that there will be a wholesale rebuilding of the squad again for next season, a debate first started on thus site. Yes I would prefer the kind of stability that was the order of the day when I first started watching games here forty years ago where you would see a handful of changes a season generally but that was then and this is now. The next q and a should be lively. WHS ^^^

There have been times in the past where I haven't 100% agreed with Paul Doswell's decisions but at the end of the day he has taken the club from poor Ryman quality to good Conference South quality and suggests that we could grow even further. I may not completely agree with the Ottaway decision but once again I'm sure Dos will prove me wrong, starting from last night's performance. I reckon Dos cares as much as anyone on here and, especially on our budget, two poor games doesn't warrant that much criticism. With the youth coming through our team I fully believe that we can comfortably stay up this year and go for the playoffs the next. In Dos we trust
