Hi guys,
Good luck tonight. I'll be attending the game as a neutral, but hoping you win - any ideas on team news? Have the bulk of the first teamers gone away for the summer now, or should tonight's game feature quite a few regulars?

Hi Tipp,
Hope you enjoy tonight's game.
No certain news yet, but I expect it will be pretty much a first team squad.

My first full game attending this season - I hope that's a good omen. Looking forward to tonight.

An absolutely shocking game.Dreadful.I tried to leave at half time but the gates were locked.I left a few minutes into the second half when Lovelock and a defender swapped passes half a dozen times.Total , sheer , unadulterated bollocks.A waste of time and money.

Probably the less said the better after such a storming end to the league season other than we'll done godalming, enjoy the break and here's to the next campaign.

Well, didn't see that coming. Perhaps it was the presence of our Billy but we never got going and showed none of the flair, drive and ability that April had brought. Maybe, 10 days off match play didn't help but we were just not at the races.
In the end the goal was just pure comedy in the way it came about - not that we at the Sutton end were laughing.
Should give credit to Godalming who worked hard and defended that well that I don't recall their 'keeper having to make a real save. They also produced 3 or 4 good saves from Tom, particulalry early on and deserved their victory.
Disappointing end to a season that we have finished so strongly along with the announcement of the signing of two proven goalscorers for next season but once agin that 16th SSC win remains elusive. Duke looked positively gutted at the end. Join the club mate.

Yes well done Goldalming. Well deserved win.
Our performance was dire. The players must have been off on their holidays. Shame to end the season in that manner after such a storming end to the league campaign. We were 2nd to everything, particularly in the first half hour. We continually lobbed long balls up front despite not winning anything all game and didn't compete or press the 2nd balls either. Feel really sorry for Dos as he wanted that cup and was badly let down by the players. Really disappointing, can't remember such a poor performance in a final, even the one we lost to them a few seasons ago (they look a better side now).

Yup, we didn't really show up this evening. A lacklustre performance with most of our threat coming late in the game from set pieces and then we couldn't get the ball on target. The goal Godalming scored was a freakish affair but it was so late on that we had virtually no time to get back on terms. Credit to them for keeping up the pressure, and I can't honestly say the result was unfair.
So since winning the SSC ten years ago we've got to four more finals and lost them all, either to Woking or Godalming. The '-ing' suffix must be unlucky for Sutton!

Not much to add to the above we were quite frankly shocking, I don't think we played badly because we didn't play all. Our passing was the worst I have seen from a Sutton side under Dos, and maybe it was simply a game too far? Having ended the season as we did it was more of a surprise we didn't perform, especially as we know how we can play. Full credit has to go to Godalming who defended really well all night, I though their number for had a great game. No arguments the best team on the night won despite the comical goal that won it for them. As for the new signings, it shows real intent for next season although the secret keeping needs to improve as just about everyone including every fan at Salisbury knew who we were signing weeks ago

Fair result tonight that. We've not been that bad since losing to Truro, and on tonight's evidence, there's a player or two that if they performed at that level next season, I would say they would need to be shown the door pretty quickly. Didn't help the fact that we really did gift them the goal.
Not much to add really - best team won tonight. Sadly we were nowhere near our best, more just a weak imitation. There's certainly some work that needs to be done pre-season.
Billy - was this your first trip to GGL since Truro?
