I liked this from the announcement on the official site: "Ernie has a network of contacts that should help him to bring the right players to the club if and when he needs to." (My underlining). How about by a week tomorrow at the latest .

I believe the board have made a rushed decision.Have appointed a manager who rarely achieved any success at Basingstoke and fear that he will take us down to the Ryman Premier.I hope to be proved wrong but i watched his progress from when he took over at Basingstoke and frankly was not impressed.

No choice but to make a quick decision, delboy. After Lewes we meet Braintree and then Hayes. Lose those two and we'll be even deeper in the quagmire. The new manager just has to get going immediately.

Who would have appointed? could you have ticked more boxes without breaking the bank?

What a surprise, negativity from Delboy! Looked at the table lately? He's hardly inheriting a promising position, is he? Let's face it, if he only collects two wins from the next thirteen games it will still be an improvement.
I'm not expecting miracles, should you be?
And who would you have preferred, bearing in mind the appointee had to be available?
Good luck Ernie, by the looks of Delboy's post, not every SUFC fan is behind you but the vast majority will be.

Not privvy to the candidates but i wouldn't want someone who got the push as the team he was managing looked like getting relegated!
