So moving on from the midweek game against Staines we look forward to Saturdays game against Bishops Stortford who are returning to the Skrill South.
Few injury worries for our boys with doubts over Slabber, Binns, Downer and Stuart.
Still think we should have enough in us to get a result

One thing we won't have this Saturday is the freedom Staines gave us on Tuesday. Nevertheless I believe it is a game we should win.

They got a point at Boreham Wood in the week, apparently deservedly so. That tells me we're in for a tough game.

We've got to believe we can win every game at home in my opinion. Not saying BS will but teams will come to us and set up to be difficult to beat, judging by our attacking passing and movementi've seen I'd like to think we will find it easier to break teams down that sit deep.
Vassell seems to be doing very well up there from what I've read so be interesting to see how he's improved, hopefully we'll manage to keep him quiet for 90 minutes!

I'm bringing some relatives to their first (and probably only) Sutton game...I hope they go away impressed!

Having played in the north for the last few years, Stortford could finish just about anywhere in the league. Many people argue the north is stronger than the south but you can never really be sure. I'll predict a 2-0 win but to be honest I have no idea how strong Stortford are

I read some stats a couple weeks ago, and over the last few seasons teams promoted from the CS have overall done better than those from the CN. Not much of an indication, but about the best we have!

Blues aiming for Bank Holiday victories Written byDAVID RIMMER
POSSIBLE RETURN: Blues forward Cliff Akurang is doubtful for the Blues clash at Sutton United due to an ankle injury THE Blues may have only got one point from their opening two Skrill South games, but they should not approach the Bank Holiday programme with trepidation.
Bishop’s Stortford take on Sutton United away this Saturday before they host Bromley on Bank Holiday Monday (both 3pm KOs).
Stortford will go into them after playing with a lot of conviction when they drew 2-2 at Boreham Wood in their second game on Monday.
The visitors had most of the play, but were let down by two defensive errors.
Stortford boss Rod Stringer said: “Sutton will be a tough game and I am having them watched. They have a lot of experienced players.
“If we can start with the right attitude we can go and get something there.”
A win at Sutton will put Stortford in good heart for Bromley who have won both their matches so far.
Stringer hopes to get forward Cliff Akurang involved after he sustained an ankle injury at Corby Town 12 days ago.
“We will see how Cliff goes in training on Thursday [today],” said Stringer.
“He does give you different options.”
Stortford were also trying to get international clearance for Ben Adams through to enable him to play.
The midfiedler, who impressed with his industry in pre-season games, played for a Maltese club last season.

OK here's a quick trivia question for you - name the teams currently in our division that have constantly played at this level (inc Bishops Stortford) since it's formation in 2004? (I make it 5 of them...although one of them certainly is on the list because of other club's misfortunes!)

WSM, H&W, Dorchester, Eastleigh, Basingstoke - Guessing without looking. Might have one wrong there, not sure about Maidenhead.

Are you sure about Eastleigh? I thought they came up in 2005.

Are you sure about Eastleigh? I thought they came up in 2005. Yup, you're right. Dos will throttle us for thinking otherwise
