Sanctimonious or Smug. Same thing really I thought.

I thought the quote was about us being the most sanctimonious fans in NL football, not smug. That thread on the Bromley board is typical of the chip on their shoulder when it comes to SUFC. For me, and most Sutton fans, Bromley are just another club. Especially now that their support isn't the same as it was 9 years ago. Tomorrow is a big game, but only because of league placings. I'm looking forward to it. Spot on. Doesn't matter who it is - it's 2nd v 3rd. I'm looking forward to it as well - like I've been really looking forward to most games in the last 2 months because of the quality of football we've been playing. Putting the results and the clean sheets aside, the icing on the cake is the way we've been playing recently. It's pretty awe-inspiring

I'm sure someone will come in here and explain it all to us , possibly someone with a background in social sciences.

I think you mean linguistics, Billy. Social sciences teach skills like statistical analysis and critical thinking.
