Finally got Internet connection in Mykonos Town - Very frustrating. However, well done U's,especially the big man. Glad his wife had a baby this year else I'd be offering.

Before the game I think most Sutton supporters would be happy with a draw. Finally getting back from the match, I'm a tad disappointed. 1-1 at half time didn't reflect the domination we had, but after 90mins it was a fair result. Nothing really wrong with our defence, although Ben King was being beaten time and time again by Ricky Modeste and it was one of those times which allowed Ademola to equalise. The concern from tonight was after the first minute for long periods our attack looked impotent. OK part of that was Dover's defence being good, but too many times an attack of ours broke down due to our carelessness. Even a change of tactic and personnel made very little difference.
Need to be more potent if we are going to get a positive result on Saturday. I still strongly believe we can. Dover quite quickly in the 2nd half started playing for a draw, and all of their potent threats were substituted. I think that's an odd decision but I hope I'm not proved wrong.
The winners will play Ebbsfleet - the team with the poorest form got totally hammered tonight.

We had a spell after the early goal when they were clearly rattled and yes it was a shame we couldn't capitalise but after they equalised just before the break they came out steaming in the second half and we did well to hold them back. So it's winner takes it all on our home turf and we've got to be happy with that even though we know it will take a big heave on and off the pitch to get over the line. Come on sutton.

Get something from your away games and win your home matches, and we have done the 1st part earning a well deserved (at least) draw. If we are not to progress then Dover will have to be the 1st side since before Xmas last year to beat us at GGL.
We started like a train and really should have added another before the 20 min mark as it was pretty much one way traffic. I am sure both managers will be disappointed with the manner of the goals, and although they did have a little spell at the start of the 2nd it was all hoof ball. We played most of the football but lacked that extra bit of cutting edge to take the tie by the scruff. Charlie just wins everything in the air and JB has turned in another great shift.
The pattern is surely set for Saturday, and more of the same, a bit sharper up front and we will prevail.
Great turnout from the U's fans and noise out singing the home fans for long periods.

DAFC fan here in peace ! Good game tonight, your guys had the better of the first half but I thought we shaded the second until all the substitutions for both sides took the rhythm out of the game.
You played the better football, our is (apart from Modeste and Ademola) a little agricultural at times. As most of our fans will confirm, frustratingly.
I have a soft spot for Sutton as my other half livrs in Wimbledon. But sadly I can't make it to the second leg on Saturday as I am away.
Lets hope it's another good match on Saturday and whoever wins goes on to get the place in the Premier. I'm sure both clubs will get there before long anyway and I look forward to the day when Dover and Sutton face each other in the Conf Prem !

Honours even after the first leg, and with away goals not counting extra in the play-offs we can treat the second leg as a one-off match.
Imperious header from Dundo to give us the very early lead. It looked as if Jason was at fault for the equaliser, but he atoned with a fine save in the second half.

No surprises from the whole occasion. Good turn out from the U's - this club is so together and you can see that we are going in the right direction. We just need a more locals to jump on board.
First visit to Dover. Strange ground which is pretty much 3 sided for viewing purposes and no terracing on the sides at all. Good venue for those who like to watch behind the goal. OAPs £10 to get in which I find incomprehensible pricing.
The game. Dover showed exactly what we knew. Defensively organised and difficult to break down. A big lump up top to put himself about and a couple of decent wide men. Binns moving to left back solved that issue and I was very surprised he didn't start there, not to knock the youngster who has filled in so well over recent games. I thought we finished very strongly last 15/20 and perhaps looked the fitter side? That could bode well.
The 2nd leg may become a game of patience as they like to keep everyone behind the ball and that will not be easy to break down necessarily. The 1st goal will be vital and hopefully an early goal at home will set us up to get a 2nd and a slight cushion. I think we have another bit in us on and off the field for Saturday. Fingers crossed we can do this but Dover will make it difficult and will be well supported again. 2 home games to win for promotion and we all would have taken that position at the start of the season. The 1st leg has been rendered irrelevant.
