I usually stand behind the goal that Sutton are attacking, which I accept is not the best vantage point for assessing our defence. But I have got the impression that Scarbs has been caught out a lot this season, and given away too many free kicks. On Saturday he added a penalty concession and a red card. His experience is obviously an asset in a relatively youthful back four, but I wonder if he's now becoming more of a liability.
I agree that Haverson played well on Saturday.

I also agree Haverson played well on Saturday, hence I gave him Man of The Match. Although by his reaction, he seemed a little surprised to win it!

I suspect he wondered how a central defender could be MoM in 4-1 defeat ! However, I agree that he was excellent - as was LG alongside him - they had the Conference leading scorer in their pocket.

Been there before. Utterly miserable place. Absolutely no desire to go back either!

Yes Jones took some stick especially as he was foul throwing until we pointed it out to the ref.Apart from that it was just good old fashioned banter and to his credit he played well.
The crowd was very disappointing and we seem to have lost many floating supporters since our demise at the bottom of the league.A few wins and a good performance over the holidays and we might win them back.

I thought it was a very good performance by the team. But I was very disappointed with Warren McBean who seemed to me to do little and gave the ball away easily. Did not seem to want to make any sort of impression against a quality side. I Know he has scored some good goals for us in the past but is he worth his place in the tough battle ahead?

As Taz stated eatlier, the ref wasn't to blame for our defeat, he was just bloody awful. Why is it when someone has a go at ref that some people view that as dishing out blame for a defeat - except if he does make poor decisions that change the game? It isn't - it's just an observation & in this case, a very accurate one. Even the neutral NLP reporter only gave him 5 out of 10. We all know that we haven't won a home league game all season, but every time I leave the stadium there are people blaming the referee for every defeat - mainly, I suspect, the people who stand opposite the main stand. It's just as pathetic as Premiership managers on telly who never see their own team commit a foul, whereas the opposition do it all the time. We are all incredibly biased and, quite naturally, just grin when we get away with it. Strangely enough, no-one on the FGR message board is complaining about the ref. I may be wrong, but I doubt if there has ever been a thread on here saying that we won a game because the ref was bad and the opposition was unfairly treated by him.
