And if his brother's last gasp header at Ayresome Park had fallen into the net instead of hitting the bar, we'd have been on our way to Goodison Park.
Am I alone in thinking "Come on Swansea !" ?

It was my birthday. Nice present. Actually HonSec it wasn't quite last gasp, 3 mins from normal time and then they go and score after 119 mins.
My main memory of the reply was arriving there by coach in a most intimidating atmosphere, being spat at and supporters thumping the coach. When we left the ground after the game they were applauding us. I have a feeling they realised how lucky they were! Everton away, now that would have been special but we can't moan.

3 mins from f/t is fairly last gasp ! They wouldn't have bounced back.
My main memory is myself, Curly and Dawson being given a guided tour of the gym and other facilities by Bruce Rioch, with Phil piping up ever-louder, "you want to sign me don't you ?"

No need for memory go buy the double DVD featuring full length versions of both Boro games plus the Aldershot and Peterborough games. Only about a tenner from the club shop and see what I rate as the best Us performance ever!!!

Remember it well! Was my first Sutton season. I remember going to the club on a cold sunday morning in december to get the ticket (which i've still got). Although Coventry was the better result, i'm inclined to agree with it being one of the best U's performances ever (although the Trophy 1st leg at Wycombe shades it I think!). On the pitch there was no difference in either team, if you didn't know, you wouldn't know who was the Div 2 team and who was the non league team. This didn't surprise me at the time after witnessing us ripping apart Aldershot in round one (for those of you who have not seen Mckinnon's 2nd, its one of the best goals scored at GGL).
Can't believe it was 20 years ago though!

As we are being fussy there goal was scored by Paul Kerr after 117 minutes ;D I wait to be corrected

I think I've still got my ticket, wrong spelling and all. "MIDDLESBOROUGH"?

Ah yes, Peterborough. Mickey Joyce's finest game, for me.

Ooh, we need a family feud, brightens up a dull week.
Just like the hillbillies in Deliverance.

I recall the 'warm' welcome for the replay up there too! I bunked off school with a mate to travel up and my old man collected us at the club when we got back.
When questioned as to my absence the next day (teachers actually noticed stuff like that in those days!), I just said "I went to the Sutton FA Cup replay in Boro. Sorry!"
Fortunately, my tutor was a ST holder at Highbury,so just rolled his eyes and moved on with the rest of the register. ;D
