What is it with you Mark F have you got something against young players because most of your threads suggest this,I have not posted on here for ages because quite frankly people like you p--s me off, most of the people at the club know me and when I come down and watch some of your games when Croydon Ath are not playing, for example against Met Police last week,Chalmers,Dave Millsy etc, etc, etc all come and speak to me ask how the lads are doing and have a bit of banter about the threads, but you really take the biscuit for being a prat.I have said on here before and and far as Rob and Co ( as you put it ) are concerned the thread should be dead and buried, O.K Bradley,Richard,Luke,Greg(and as for the Leatherhead players there all your Sutton ex 1st team players,Asher,Gibbs,Boosey,Palmer ) like yourselves are currently playing in a team lacking that winning spirit, but individually, the three defenders in my list are all having good seasons and between them have won quite a few man of the match awards this season but more importantly are gaining invaluable expeareance, which in the end was the reason they all left because Mr Hazel would not give them a chance,so fair play to Ernie at least he has brought in the younsters, but likewise they will improve for the expeareance the more games they play, but it seems to me that its your expeareanced players who are letting you down, and in a similar vein at Croydon we have had shall we say our mere senier players have been letting the team down with poor performances over the last 8 games or so,but my point being WE HAVE MOVED ON,my son Brad has played everygame this season apart from when he has been injured or ill and is enjoying his football, and feels part of the club as well as learning which he would not have done in Sutton Reserves this year,so the move for us was right,he has ambitions to play higher which he always has had,and with other teams looking at him, maybe that will happen, but for now he is a Croydon Ath player and will be for the time being, and hopefully next year possibly we will be pushing for promotion,so can you please stop going on about Rob and Co and past reserve players,Mark F it is done and dusted please move on or you will continue to look a prat.Best wishes to all the rest of you who know me,c y soon.

Oh, right resorting to personal abuse now eh, Rob? Well, I can hand it out too. You're the prat mate. Read ALL of my comment. I was stating that you can't expect a collection of youngsters who are chucked in at the deep end to resolve the situation that SUFC are in. You, Rob, advocated giving them all a chance. You may have also read an earlier thread, where I stated they have performed well as individuals, but are not the answer as a collective. It's not fair on them, for us, the fans, to expect them to.
I based my comment on what was your repeated approach (& quite frankly, I laugh my head off at you for telling me to move on, when you plagued this board with your opinion) of promoting the youngsters as a comparism of how the clubs fielding our former Suburban players are not doing so well (league tables don't lie as all at SUFC know this season).
It's not a question of individual ability but of collective inclusion. So, next time you come on here giving me some abuse, albeit mild, may I suggest you read my previous comments and you may realise where I am coming from.
I have nothing against young players, I have seen loads come through U's youth & reserve set up over the years. I also wish all the best to any former U's player has moved onto better themselves.
Oh, beware the father of a young player scorned.

When was the last time I posted on here and yet you bring back the same old thread on Jan 20th at 8-33am about past players,I am not even going to lower myself to your trivial post and I certainly dont want to read any of your previous posts as any reply I might make could get me into trouble and for most at the club I have time for but you I dont.

Hmmm. Never posted on here before but after reading all of this thread I have to say I agree entirely with what Mark is trying to say.
I used to live in Carshalton up to ten years old. Only been to Sutton a few times, most notably the cup games against Aldershot and Middlesbrough, but I am a Sutton born (St. Helier anyone?) just a shame I had to move down to Tunbridge Wells!!!! Although most of my family still live there.
On another note, does anyone on here used to go to Hackbridge Junior School in the years '88-'89? They'd all be 27-28 by now.

Oh, Rob, I'm so upset that you don't have time for me. The vast majority of those you have mentioned elsewhere, know me well (oy, cut at the miserable sod comments you lot!), what the club means to me & also how much experience I have of watching this football club during its many differing fortunes for the past 38 years.
Your obvious inability to remain calm and retain some rationale during a debate is, well, obvious.
I used the debate of earlier from this season as a direct comparisom with the current situation & therefore it was/is valid. By reading the one post you misunderstand what I am saying and how I view our current crop of youngsters in the first team. That's your decision but then by doing so, you come on here with what was in effect a rant at me without knowing the full consideration of my opinion.
As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss!
