I am at work so can't get the picture to here (I am sure someone could do it) but I noticed on our FB page that we are once again having a ladies side.
I remember about the time of the Leeds match there was one of the wonderful thread tangents that happen on here on AmberPlanet so often - upshot was no one could remember any info about it or if we had one.
It is apparently 25 years since we had a team but should have one for next season - I guess they will use the main pitch on alternate weeks to AFC Wimbledon Ladies (again sure this will be confirmed)
Excellent news in my opinion.

It was I who inquired whether we had a Ladies' side, to much befuddlement and head-scratching.
This is indeed excellent news, and well overdue. Onwards and upwards!

🙁 40+ years to late for me! Gutted, would have loved to have played for Sutton United. Great news for the lasses of today though!

You're absolutely correct, Surrey Eagles will be known now as Sutton United Ladies, the twitter feed is the existing one for Eagles, there will be further announcements for trials etc to follow

I do remember when there was a Ladies team before. I can't remember the name of their manager but I worked with her son John and was occasionally asked to referee.

Played their first match of the season on Sunday against London Academicals, initially going one up before the Accies struck either side of half time. Eventually rallied and came back to win 4-2 with three well taken goals. The ladies are again in action this Sunday. To mark the occasion we have invited some ex SUFC ladies from the team that last played 25 years ago! Please spread the word as it will be great to see as many supporters at the game as possible.
Thanks Duncan Muller Head of Ladies Football

So sorry I'll be away this weekend, missing our men and women in action.
Note to Admin: Any chance of making this a Sticky Thread? Would be good to keep our ladies' team on everyone's radar.
