I was walking along Green Pond Road the other day and saw some houses where Walthamstow Avenue's ground would have been. It got me thinking about the grounds I've been to that don't exist anymore. So I thought I'd share them with you. I'm sure a fair few of you could add to this list.
Green Pond Road - Walthamstow Avenue Southbury Road - Enfield Leytonstone Ilford Loakes Park - Wycombe Wanderers The Drill Field - Northwich Victoria Huish Park - Yoevil Town London Road - Maidstone United Various Fisher Athletic grounds Richmond Road - Kingstonian Highfield Road - Coventry City Highbury - Arsenal Goldstone Ground - Brighton & Hove Albion Tooting & Mitcham's old ground Feethams - Darlington (although I didn't go inside as the coach turned round when we got there and found out that the game was off!) Ayresome Park - Middlesbrough Plough Lane - Wimbledon Northampton Town's old ground Aylesbury United's old ground Wealdstone's old ground
I haven't included Wembley and Dulwich Hamlet as they've been rebuilt on the same site.
I'm sure there's a few that I've missed.

Loakes Park now there was a place, just be able to stand on the terrace was an art in itself, I think that's where I developed the one leg shorter than the other problem As for Champion Hill, I thought that fell down?

I could add Barking (Vicarage Road) to that list, Leytonstone was Granleigh Rd, Ilford, Lynn Rd, Wealdstone, Lower Mead, Aylesbury, Turnfurlong Lane.
Also Dartford's Watling Street & a few others. One's I can't include are Cray W, Erith & B (Parkview), although I was driven past where it was yesterday (now a B&Q).
I'm sure there a few others - George Wilson Stadium on Rhodes Avenue (Rhodes being the guy who helped establish Rhodesia - now Zimbabwe) former home of Bishops St.

Talking about MK Don what ever happened to Milton Keynes FC we played there back in the 80s, can't find any trace of them now?
And does Wembley count?
Worcester City will be added next year when they move to their new ground, we conceeded a shed load there in ET one year I seem to remember.
Another one I think has gone is Wokingham?

I had forgotten about Rhodes Avenue and Watling Street.
Stoke City's Victoria Ground is still on Google Earth and you can still see the pitch markings!

If you mean Milton Keynes City, the local NL side, they folded shortly after the Dons were imported. Sponsorship & support just disappeared when Winkleman started offering sh*tloads of free-tickets at the NHS to try & generate interest. As for Wokingham, Finchampstead Road is long gone. Sold off for housing in '99. They're now known as Wokingham & Emmbrooke FC after a merger about 5 years ago.

Looked more like flats & houses last time I looked...... Me too. I'd listed all the grounds first, then the team that played there. I was actually having a little joke about how Wimbledon have now become MK Dons - hence the Arf arf.

Just to be pedantic . . .
Cray Wanderers' Oxford Road ground is still used by their reserves. They groundshare at Bromley because the local nimbys objected to floodlights.
Whether MK Dons lead to the death of MK City is debatable - if you look at the history MK teams only ever last a few years anyway.
And finally, is FGR's ground new, or does it fall into the Dulwich Hamlet category?
