Looking forward to it, no doubt that Hudson-Odoi will be in the team, would be a great game to get him back into the way we play, great performances at Beastleigh, lets hope he can perform like that here on a regular basis! Have I missed something? Bradley to get the nod over Tom Bolarinwa and Cadogan?

Team generally means starting 11 Ryan, I think you mean squad - I agree BHO will be in the squad but can't see him starting.

Lost 3-1. Pitch was terrible, but I'm not going to use that an excuse.

A great advert for the benefits of 3G pitches, but it’s the same for both sides - Brackley just played the conditions much better than us. At least I’m local and can put the one behind me immediately!

I think it would be fair to say that some of our players didn't adapt to the conditions too well !

Questionable whether the match should have gone ahead at all, but as said same for both sides. I believe in defending away from home first and four-most, and then going in search of your goal(s). I think taking the game to Brackley wasn't the best idea in hindsight. We didn't get that goal in the first 25mins, the game started to look like it was the hit and run type, and thats what it proved to be, with a little luck thrown in for the home side too. It wasn't a penalty, but in truth we didn't bother the Brackley keeper too much, they defended well and spring forward when they got the opportunity, the tactics we probably should have employed?
Brackley a decent side, I am not too hurt about being out of the Trophy, we need all we have to concentrate on the league, and Wembley may yet beckon?

I am not too hurt about being out of the Trophy I'm hurting. Really want to see us in another Wembley cup final, might never happen in my lifetime so every opportunity is massive for me.
Soft first goal, Tommy not awarded a pen, we concede a soft pen, and their third had hints of offside from where I was stood. Wasn't to be, but frustrating none the less.
Wish Brackley all the best with the rest of their season, both in this competition and in aiming for promotion. In truth the pitch didn't show them in the best light either, and to me they didn't look anything special. Would expect them to struggle in the National League based on what I saw today - but you could argue the same about our 11, and they are coping fine.
Cup silverware this year can only come from the SSC, and would still be welcome.

The better team won on the day. I thought Brackley were strong and well organised in defence and broke swiftly and with purpose into attack. Our back four looked ponderous at times but the state of the pitch probably had some influence on that. When we did not get an opening goal in the first 20 minutes Brackley were encouraged and as Dos has said they scored three goals to our one. I am not certain we did adapt our play at times to the conditions and I thought the experience was reminiscent of the 1980s when we performed well as the 'underdogs' in several cup games on the Gander Green Lane pitch - in the days when 'the boot was on the other foot.'

I didn't think we played particularly badly, this was just one of those games when little went right for us. Brackley's unbeaten home record told us this wouldn't be an easy game, but were we to play them again we'd be quite capable of reversing yesterday's scoreline. It's been said that Brackley adapted to the heavy pitch better than us, but it could also be argued that all three of their goals stemmed from defensive lapses that had nothing to do with the surface. (I gather there was also a suspicion of offside about their third.)
In retrospect, we should have made more of those opening twenty minutes when, playing down the slope, we were clearly on top. But we didn't turn pressure into goals and were punished after failing to deal with a corner. Once they got their second from the penalty spot we faced the proverbial uphill battle (which became literally uphill in the second half).
Tommy Wright once again put in a terrific shift up front, and his late consolation goal, a neat finish after he'd rounded their keeper Danny Lewis, was the least that he and the team deserved. Tom B also did well after coming on, bringing one very good save from Lewis.

Incidentally, the BBC's website is still claiming the final scoreline was 3-2. At least their coverage of non-league football is consistently shoddy.
