Obviously very disappointed. Like everyone would have loved to see us play at Wembley and today was such a good opportunity. Boreham Wood deserved it on the day but were completely out on their feet for the last 20 minutes. Our 1st half display was below par, we were 2nd to too much. The goal we conceded was extremely poor. Ref was so picky 2nd half and just made it very hard to build up momentum, very anti the game imo. To stop an attack for cramp doesn’t seem to be in the rule book to me (isn’t it just head injuries or something obviously serious?), else someone could drop down on every counter attack! The overtime was also very short considering the numerous lengthy delays. It’s clear we’ve had an amazing year and just being in the play offs is an incredible achievement. That said there is that tinge of disappointment as you never know when or if we will ever get that chance again. Thankful as ever for all who helped the day run so smoothly, our wonderful group of volunteers and of course the players/management for their hard work over the season. Pretty much echoes my thoughts on the game itself (shame about the style and execution of the opening 70 mins) and the immediate future. Deep down I do wonder if going up at this stage would have been a poisoned chalice...but a trip to Wembley would have been wonderful...a stab at the Football League a tremendous reward for the club... Well, there IS always next season (or the one after...or the one after that!) and more time growing as a team and a club at this level can only be a good thing. Brilliant season, brilliant club, looking forward to the season opener already.

Standing against a pitch side fence, other than tested crush barriers, is generally not permitted in the EFL and we were required to demonstrate how we could manage that

I trust Billy counted the crowd as i would have estimated well in excess of 3000.

I think the occasion got the better of some of lads yesterday, over hit crosses, poor decision making, gòing long and losing posession. I'm not sure why none of defenders reacted to the third goal and allowed the Boreham wood players a free header.
Having said that the team were tremendous the last 20 mins and never give up. They put everything into the game and if anything they tried too hard and this disrupted the natural flow.
As the club grows more planning needs to be done around the pitch as my concern is that it will psychologically hold the club back. I appreciate it's an important revenue stream but installing a part artificial like the one at Boreham wood seems to me to be the way forward.
Anyway a big thank you to Dos and the team for a great season. As a new season ticket hold I look forward to 2018/19.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I've had more pleasure from supporting this wonderful non-league club in just two seasons of being a season ticket holder than all the preceding years of being a season ticket holder at West Ham United. There is something very special about this club and today's result does nothing to diminish that. "Well said! Such a community spirit, friendliness and passion. Second year season ticket holder too, who only goes to QPR matches if I cannot make a Sutton game, (as my better 'alf says I support Sutton, I follow QPR)...Thank you to all involved at the club for an exciting season".

Disappointed not to be going to Wembley - however the season has been amazing with some very special moments - Torquay away, that Hartlepool late goal, Toms Ebbsfleet goal- I could go on and on - massive thanks to everyone involved in keeping the club as special as it is - and to Dos and the players have a good summer and a good holiday hopefully - think you all deserve one 👏🏻👏🏻 See you next season 💛

I think we will live to fight another day, although I don't think we are ever going to win a playoff match. I still have a bee in my bonnet about Boreham Wood, they have a fantastic pitch, a ground that has changed beyond all recognition since our old Ryman tussles, they even have a good team too worthy of their finish in the National League. Yet only 484 fans want to come to GGL, the club seems to actively discourage supporters from attending by high prices and somewhat of a draconian attitude towards people in general. Surely with success on the pitch you try to bring people with you, I never have got Boreham Wood, and I been told off before on here for saying I just cannot see the point of what they do.. You can shoot me now

At the end of the day they are just another Eastleigh. Yes they have Arsenal ladies playing there but that doesn't sustain their wage bill.

No problem with their team, no sour grapes etc, but BW are not very friendly to anyone, its like entering a Russian army camp. No problem with little teams punching above their weight, that would be hypocritical of me, its BW's particular model I do not understand. I think all of us realize that even if you start with a small club you have to build it up to make it sustainable, and part of that is getting supporters to follow you, otherwise the exercise is pointless. I understand what our club is trying to do, and that of Maidstone or Dulwich etc. Surely success is something you have to share with others or it will be like Robinson Crusoe winning the Lottery? Its not a dig at them its genuine lack of understanding..

Well when we went their last season, quite a few of their fans were very friendly, they’re just like most clubs, majority of fans are alright but there are just some a**holses that ruin the reputation of the club. Whereas there are some other clubs that have a lot of unfriendly fans ie Maidstone from my own personal experience but then again other fans would have experienced different.

Not much to add on what everyone else has said except for I wish Tranmere all the very best on Saturday. Big club, decent fans, great setup.

disappointing result of course, but a great afternoon and I thought the support from the crowd was superb.
to finish 3rd in the league was a fantastic effort though. arguably Sunday was the first setback the club has had for about 3 years, following a title triumph in 2015/16, the unbelievable cup run and respectable mid table finish of 2016/17 and now in 2017/18 challenging for the title pretty much all season.
what I don't understand is the attendance figure of 2,730 - there seemed to be the biggest crowd of the season, and if there were only 2730 then there have certainly been far less than the 2200 we have claimed for most of the other games this season!
