Well, with the handle "WinchStaff", it can only possibly be Wimple Winch Rovers, the Liverpool-based side founded in 1963 in homage to the protopunk/freakbeat band of the same name, who currently ply their trade in the Lenny Kaye Nuggets Premier Division North. Either that, or Winchester City FC... I don't think Wimple Winch Rovers have "Winchester City FC" on their badge, but I could be mistaken. Fictitious psych rock inspired football clubs seldom play by the rules.

True, but if one employs Occam's Razor, Winchester City is a reasonable assumption. Even if my phone's autocorrect wants to call them "Windcheater."

If one applies Occam's razor, then davethegrave must have a very long beard.

Tunbridge Wells would be a perfect pre-season game. 30 minute walk for me Failing that Tonbridge Angels would suffice as it's a 10 minute train journey. I seriously doubt Sutton would come down to Tunbridge Wells.

I seriously doubt Sutton would come down to Tunbridge Wells. Wells likely not, Angels would be a decent bet considering the McKimm connection. I believe they came to us in the preseason of 2016

I know Tunbridge Wells would be unlikely. Mentioned them purely for selfish reasons Angels too, I'd much prefer going to a pre-season game against one of the 'big teams'. Weakened side or not.

We used to play Tonbridge Angels quite regularly in friendlies.

Well, hopefully Sutton will see my post and think 'Hey. Good choice. We'll nip down for a kickabout'.

Hopefully our pre-season schedule is confirmed in due course. With next season kicking off on Saturday 4th August I have even seen some clubs pencil in friendlies for the last Saturday in June - madness!!

I wonder whether the game at Sutton will be SCR or a reserve/academy side. Would be strange to play the same Step 5 side twice in preseason
