Sorry totally misread your post there. You're totally right, makes no sense playing them home and away. Could be a mistake in their tweet too.

Was wondering if it was a mistake. Is there another Sutton they play more often? Don't think so but there are a lot of places called Sutton.

The ground is almost not enclosed, anyone can walk in from the the river side. It would be a total mismatch against SUFC first team so I wonder if they meant SCR who would still be a better team. i cannot think of another Sutton side locally at their level.

I know Alresford well, as my mum lives there! There is a village about a mile and a half away called Bishop's Sutton, but I'm not aware that it has a senior football team (probably too small).
I believe that Dos is well acquainted with the Chairman of Alresford FC.

It seems an improbable fixture, but then - not as improbable as the next games at GGL listed in the banner above. The rail travelling fans will have an interesting journey. At Alton change to steam train on Watercress line - if running.

Suspect a Sutton XI as i think that is the club quite a few of our academy players went on loan to play for.

At least one of our academy players has been loaned to Alresford Town.
Tommy Wright played for Otterbourne, which is between Alresford and Winchester.

Would have liked to see us play Dulwich Hamlet. Just promoted to Conference South, local rivals, large support and a long time since we've played them.
