Surely we’d risk injury in any game we play though? I imagine we’ll look to utilise the whole squad for this competition including a couple of prospects from the academy set-up. Think it’s a perfect opportunity to get some goals in to our strikers and help them find form and get some players some minutes that have been struggling to break into the team. Besides when was the last time this club won a Cup especially one not limited to clubs in Surrey... 1998, I think...!

I’m struggling to comprehend the level that some of these Scottish clubs can be compared to, for example Scottish Leagues One and Two - is that Conference standard perhaps or lower? Well if a Scottish Premier League can sell a player to a National League team and we can supply one to Dundee then probably lower.

Maybe but the BLT had nothing to do with us getting relegated. Lenny Dennis's broken leg might have but that was in a league match at Barnet.

Bob Lord Trophy. AND we were relegated as well 🤐 No, that was 1991(?) In 1998 we won the Isthmian league cup - remember, record 6-1 win in the final. That was the last proper cup we won other than the SSC.

The first round ties were completed this evening (apart from Livingston v Forfar which was abandoned on Tuesday evening due to floodlight failure). As for the second round draw tomorrow, there’s a pre-draw to avoid two cross-border teams from the same country playing each other. So, taking Boreham Wood out, these are the teams we could be paired with. Alloa Athletic (2nd tier) Annan Athletic (4th tier) Airdrieonians (3rd tier) Arbroath (3rd tier) Bohemians (League of Ireland) Coleraine (Irish Premiership) Connah’s Quay Nomads (Welsh Premier) Crusaders (Irish Premiership) East Fife (3rd tier) East Kilbride (Lowland League) Dumbarton (3rd tier) Dundee U21 Dundee United (2nd tier) Dunfermline Athletic (2nd tier) Edinburgh City (3rd tier) Falkirk (2nd tier) Formartine United (Highland League) Hamilton Academical U21 Livingston U21 or Forfar Athletic (3rd tier) Montrose (3rd tier) Motherwell U21 Partick Thistle (2nd tier) Peterhead (4th tier) Queen of the South (2nd tier) Queen's Park (4th tier) Raith Rovers (3rd tier) Ross County (2nd tier) Sligo Rovers (League of Ireland) St. Mirren U21 The New Saints (Welsh Premier)

We also can't face any of the other non-Scottish sides in this round. It's a completely open draw from the 3rd round onwards.

And also I believe that one of us and Boreham Wood are certain to be away, the other will play at Home.

Most of the big club's u20 sides went out last night. Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts. Hoping for Sutton United v Queen's Park Ah, but would they travel? They do have form for pulling out of long distance cup-ties.

Dundee United would be an attractive tie. A tangerine dream.

Dundee United would be an attractive tie. A tangerine dream. hmm attractive maybe - tough most definitely - Dundee United are 2nd favourites to win this cup (behind Inverness) but needed an injury time winner to see off St Johnstones colts. Out of interest we’re around 25/1 currently.

I don't think that Inverness are the favourites anymore. They were knocked out by Dunfermline.
