We will of course have to wear our away kit, which will feel a bit strange at GGL. The last time against Godalming a few years ago was one to forget

Further to an earlier post in this thread it was Hurst and Peters who faced Sutton. As i recall we lost 2-1 and had a goal not given as our player standing by the corner flag was given offside!

I used to referee the origins of SCR on a Sunday morning, their now manager playing up front and Barry of the "Circle" fame in goal. Leatherhead & District League was the competition. Come a fair way since then. Me too.

On Thursday we were drawn away to our furthest game ever, on Friday we are drawn away to our nearest game ever

Err, apart from all of the games in Italy. I think Cavese was probably the furthest.

I see that our Surrey Senior Cup match against SCR has been arranged for Monday 22nd October, two days after we start our F.A. Cup campaign! That would suggest that we’ll be fielding almost entirely Academy players. I wonder what will happen if we draw our F.A. Cup tie - I imagine the replay would be on the 23rd or the 24th. In theory, there wouldn't be any need to reschedule the SCR match if we’re fielding Academy players….and the hard core supporters would be forking out for three matches in four days!

As well as players from our impressive academy teams I’m hoping a couple of fringe players can feature against SCR similar to last seasons run - we’ll never hear the end of it if we lose against this lot!!

Cheers. I made the mistake of trying to navigate the Surrey FA's website. Not recommended.

I note that the official match report says that 'Sutton United were too strong for their landlords'. I trust we haven't become the subject of a reverse takeover?
