I’m a bit reluctant to set up this thread, but Localboy seems to have nodded off! (we’re unbeaten in 9 when he’s started things off and we lost the only match when he didn’t). I’m expecting a tough match tomorrow. The Hawks seem to be very competitive on their own patch, drawing with Boreham Rigid, Fylde, and Salford, losing 2-1 to Hartlepool, and beating Aldershot 2-1.
Preview of the match on the Havant site:

I didn't start one either as the only time i did this season we lost ! At least we have had a week without a game and hopefully the players have had a chance to recover from a hectic schedule.Looking forward to going to Havant again which i find a relatively easy drive but i expect parking to be more difficult with an increased crowd.

My first visit to H&W and I thought I had missed the boat. Most surprised to have them back with us at this level. I think they'll struggle having watched the Aldershot game. The lad up front (Kabamba) seems to be finding a bit of form and if you have that you've got a chance. Look forward to the game.

Enjoyed reading this from Lee Bradbury: ‘They’ve got an interesting period ahead for the club and that’s something that we want to try and mirror by staying in this league and try to mirror their achievements over recent years.” That’s a nice tribute for what Paul & Ian are achieving from a fellow manager. Who I would like to see start: 4-3-3 (JC suspended) It’s a toss of a coin for GK - JB or RW Dale B DB CC DW KD NB CE TB TW/RL JT

We will line up similar to at maidstone I reckon, with a midfield diamond. Tough choices for the gaffer if ayunga is fit. He was superb at maidstone, absolutely what we've lacked. However, lafayette has been scoring and Wright is back in form. Rl and ja looked like a natural partnership to me though, would be interested to see Tommy in behind but that doesn't leave much option from the bench. Midfield very competitive, I think only easty is a guaranteed starter out of that lot.

Well done boys didn't go or listen to commentary so can't comment on the match but we are getting in those away wins by any means possible, not a bad trait to have.

As with last Saturday, the excellent commentary was a lifeline up in t'Dales and sounds like our tactics were spot on with some shrewd subs, most notably Ayunga who I'm hoping gets a start on Tuesday...

A well deserved win. Not sure I’ve seen m(any) worse sides than Havant since our return to this level (but then I don’t see them all). Thought they were ordinary and seemed reliant on Kabamba and Sekajja (who they took off!). We bossed the game without creating too much of note. Craig missed a sitter first half, they got a deflected one and that was that for half time. Jonah Ayunga looks very good, excellent for the 2nd goal that earned the victory. Tommy had earlier scored a very nice equaliser and looked lively all game. There was a late long ball bombardment from the home side as you get when there is one goal in it but nothing was created bar one long ranger which Jamie repelled well. Seemed like a very poor crowd, thought they’d have a few in with Portsmouth away but not many at all.
