Forget Tuesday, we won’t see that performance for sometime. We’ll see a different mentality from our lads. Sam R has got Wrexham back where there fan base believe they should be (challenging for the title). I hope we go with a 4-3-3 RW DB CC JC AW KD NB CE TB TW DW That would be a bold decision with the GK as Butler hasn't done much wrong. Anyway who's AW ? Jamie didn't have a great game on Tuesday, not just in terms of the goals the team conceded, but in his usually strong kicking and distribution too. If you wanted to be critical you could also make the argument a taller keeper might have kept out the goal scored by Havant too. It would be a harsh judgement though.
Ross hasn't done anything wrong either, (except get injured). It's good to have such strong competition for the shirt, and I don't think we would be a worse team if that particular switch was made, but I would think keeping faith with the incumbent would be a better response to the team's failings against Boreham Wood rather than making the switch and potentially signalling to some what might be seen as singling out one player.
I would be surprised to see that particular front 3 though as the gaffer's preference, at least initially, is for aerial balls to a strong front man. Tommy will run his socks off, but to me lacks the height, particularly against a mean defence to play in this way. It would be great to see a less aerial style of play but I doubt we will see such a change in tactics initially on the back of the mid-week game.

TIMALL: Good points made. With the 3 in midfield I picked I genuinely believe we would not lose many games and never get overrun in that key area of the pitch. I agree TW (aerial) however with TB & DW and there pace + trickery on either flank the three of them would cause havoc for opposing defences.

For me its important to get JC / NB back in the spine of the team, that 3rd goal just doesn't happen with them there. With have been missing Bolly, only for his play but he can often turn a draw into a win with a touch of magic. Where I am not sure is what happens up front, I don't think RL works with Tommy, individually they are great players but to me they suit different styles of play.

3-1 to U’s as we will have a superb first team playing and Wrexham will be overconfident🏴👎 That's the last thing we'll be fortunately. Sam will have it drilled into them that this will be a very very tough game. Besides the back 4 and keeper there's no real places nailed on so everyone's looking to prove themselves. Having said that you've got a strong team and a good manager and as we all know there's no easy games in this league. My head says we'll get a draw against you as it's a tough ground to visit and you'll be looking to prove a point after Saturday. Looking forward to visiting GGL for the third time, hopefully this time will finally be a win. Wasn’t far wrong was I, although Wrexham weren’t overconfident they just weren’t good enough. Well done U’s for such a superb comeback 👍👏
