Hope you all enjoy your trip to Bohs.
You can travel to the ground on the Luas light rail from the city centre towards Broombridge and get off at Phibsborough station, exit to right up stairs and then right again passes stadium.
Good pubs are Doyles (recently done up , craft beers and pub grub) and The Hut next door.
Past the shopping centre and straight on are three more, The Bald Eagle (craft beers and pub grub) across the road is The Whitworth (same fare) only bigger and to the left is Hedigans The Brian Boru (traditional beers and food) an old style pub, further on straight is the Botanic House which is nice and offers the best food but is maybe a bit quiet.
The best pub of all is Kavanaghs (The Gravediggers), continue straight past the Botanic cross the road straight on and then take the next left turn to the Green, ancient bar and a nice lounge with nice food, you can have a pint on the green weather permitting.
Lots of fast food outlets back at the shopping centre and Woodstock Cafe is great for breakfast and brunch.
Up Leinster street before the Brian Boru is Bang Bang cafe for great coffee and snacks (owned by a Bohs director).
The ground itself has two bars below the main stand, the members one is best and you should be welcome, you guys might be behind the goal and there is fast food to your right.
Enjoy !

Hmm, sort of disappointed that I can’t make this game, travelling to Airdrionians was fantastic. This time I’m away in sunnier climbs.

yes we are well served for good pubs !
The Back Page is a right turn at Doyles corner with the ground behind you about 1/2 a mile.
Aimed at a younger crowd, craft beers and good snacky food, pizza etc, would also recommend.
There is a nice old style pub across the road as well.

Oh my word, the Porterhouse is AMAZING. My lovely wife took me there for my 40th. Simply the best stout I have EVER tasted in my life. And I have sampled one or two over the years..

The Porterhouse is now called The Whitworth after a major revamp which I wrote about earlier.
Still pretty spectacular.

Presumably this happened post-2014, as it was definitely called the Porterhouse when I was last there. Very pleased to see from their website that they still do the Oyster Stout, although the so-called "Plain" Stout is even better, according to my tastebuds. One of those perfect 10 dark beers... www.theporterhouse.ie/bars-dublin-whitworth.php

I may well call into the Whitworth before the game. It's on the way from my guest house to the ground. 🙂

They have their FAI cup semi final replay on Monday against Cork which is definitely a higher priority to them.
