Lost 2-1 but scored this wonder strike: Hang on a minute, Referee Mr Hart has just finished his deliberation, and has disallowed it for Offside!

Lost 2-1 but scored this wonder strike: He won’t score another one like that - so that’s out of the way. HOLY ........

Were Bohemians at pretty much full strength last night? I’m guessing their FAI Cup semi-final was a greater priority than the Irn Bru Cup.

I bet the Scottish FA have dipped into their pockets to make this financially viable for the non-Scottish club’s to enter and if a non-Scottish club wins the competition the coverage they’ll get will be two fold (their home countries media and the Scottish media).

Just a heads up for all who are going to Dublin and haven't checked the weather forecast. Make sure that you pack a brolly and waterproof! The latest forecast (subject to change, of course) is for it to be wet on both Friday and Saturday, with heavy rain from Friday evening through to Saturday morning. I hope the Dalymount Park pitch has good drainage!
Sunday isn't looking too bad. 🙄

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Bohemians are near the end of their regular season - they've got 3 games left and the season in Ireland runs from February to October. We're the penultimate home game for them.
If they overcome us on Saturday, the next round will be after their league season ends.

The FAI cup would be a bigger priority than the game on Saturday. Victory last night along with a big cup final day in the Aviva Stadium would of brought europa league football and the money that comes with it. Even with a first qualifying round defeat bohs would of banked at least 250k from europe. I would be surprised if any of the bigger clubs in the league like Dundalk, Cork City or Shamrock Rovers would enter the competition. St Pats Athletic already turned down the invitation which allowed Sligo Rovers entry.
