With two months of the season completed already, Saturday’s long trip to Barrow marks our first game of October - a far quieter month than the busy September we’ve just experienced.
Barrow won 2-0 at Dover last time out (their first away win of the season) and are currently 14th. On home turf they’ve won 4 and lost 3 of their 7 home games played.
October’s a sparse month of watching the U’s for me frustratingly but am hoping for some points return this weekend.
Up the U’s!

3 league games, 1 Surrey Senior Cup match, 1 FA Cup Qualifier, and one Irn-Bru jolly in Eire. Plenty to look forward to this month, although like you, other commitments will limit my ability to attend most of these, sadly.

It sounds as if we'll be down to the bare bones for this one. Obviously Tommy Wright is out, but I hear that Bailey and Beckwith are both injured, Collins is doubtful, and Eastmond is suspended. We're likely to have some youngsters on the bench.

We're likely to have some youngsters on the bench. This is worrying - we haven’t been this stretched so far this season.

I suppose it's a wait and see. Looking at our current squad it looks like there are 14 available. Obviously our concern would be if Beckwith, Collins and Bailey are all out then the centre back partner of Clough is an issue.
Actually if Eastmond and Collins are out, who will captain?

Presumably Cloughie, as he captained the club in his previous stint for us.

Has Amber Aleman got any update on Beckwith and Bailey? Worrying news if true. Training ground injuries?

Has Amber Aleman got any update on Beckwith and Bailey? Worrying news if true. Training ground injuries? Yes, I heard that injuries were picked up in training. I got this info after the club AGM yesterday evening. No doubt the official match preview, which should be online soon, will provide a more informed summary of the situation.

Probably because Dos doesn't want to advertise the fact (if indeed it is the case) to Barrow. Oh well....

The preview mentions 3 academy players who may well travel with the squad up to Barrow. Crossley Lema and Ryan Green played in a couple of the pre-season games I believe, haven’t heard of Bradley Pearce’s name previously though.
