I'm so sad for those players. They must have been so excited.

I don't think it's pertinate to find blame. These things happen. It could be a culmination of things.
I do feel really sorry for the Sutton lads but similar things don't just happen to Sutton United. Go back through the thread and West Ham are a perfect example of how small details are lost.

So who cocked up then? This isn't the first cock-up in recent times. When we won the league a couple of years ago weren't we in danger in missing out with a point deduction? Are you going to volunteer to help the youth team admin? If not, I suggest you keep your thoughts to yourself.

If you throw, you've also gotta know how to catch.

'International Clearance' is a name which suggests something it is not. It has nothing to do with a player playing for his country, in most cases, except players at youth international level who might by moving to a club in another country qualify for a different nation. If you recall last season a poster on this site who worried about Sutton's disciplinary record put up a link to the sin tables of the NFL. Wrexham did not have any bookings. Not because they hadn't had players cautioned but because their discipline was handled by the Welsh FA. This is what 'International Clearance' is about. A player might have a 3 match ban in England to serve but move to a Scottish club and have no ban against his name. But if the 'International Clearance' is done this comes to light, and then the Scottish FA may (not must) insist he misses matches for his new club.

But suggesting I keep my thoughts to myself if everyone here did it there would be no forums!

This is why Wrexham get their red cards overturned. A Welsh team in an English league governed by the Welsh FA.
