Shame our 2nd round tie is on the same day our first team are away to the Heed.
Out of interest, what is the furthest our youth team have ever progressed in this competition?

I remember seeing a game at Bristol City in 2005 I think - that was first round, but others here I'm sure can tell us! We do of course have a FA Youth Cup winning player in our first team. Step forward Mr Eastmond, who was in the Arsenal winning side 10 seasons ago (alongside Jack Wilshire)

The game at Clevedon will be midweek, not on the Saturday that we go to Gateshead.

I went to Clevedon a few weeks ago. Terrific stadium but, unfortunately, the football club has lost the use of the main stand facilities, so the teams have to change in an adjacent building. Also, it was absolutely freezing with the wind blowing in from the sea!

I can remember us playing at Roots Hall, a long long time ago, I know the game went to pens ( I can't recall who went through though , I 'think' it was us ), that must have been in "Proper Rounds"

I see that fixture's scheduled for a 7pm kickoff on Saturday 15th December - I see that's the same day as the 1st round of the FA Trophy, but we come into the competition in the 2nd round these days, is that right?

Not right We come in on 15th Dec, so we will be playing that day (hence the blank Saturday in the fixtures) Also the Youth Cup matches have to be played by 15th Dec, rather than specifically on it, so I presume it's not been scheduled yet (I doubt the clubs would have communicated to set a date bearing in mind Man City don't know where they are playing yet!), and just given a default date and time.
