Another home game and another ex-Football League club as we welcome a resurgent Daggers side this weekend. Having recently secured fresh investment and recruited some new players (McQueen, Balanta and a loanee from Gillingham) I can see this being a real battle tomorrow afternoon.
We’ll be looking to build on the Chesterfield draw and hopefully we can get a positive result to set us up for next weeks massive cup tie.

The Daggers preview linkLet's hope their poor form at GGL continues! It will be another tough home game.

Evidently, the Daggers aren't aware of Aaron's crucial late winner away to Wealdstone. That definitely counts as a goal, in my book.

1 - 0.An appalling spectacle.A header tipped over the bar just after half time and a shot around the hour mark pushed out by the 'keeper to Cadogan who drilled it home. That was it.............. Attendance 1900 odd (including,at least 400 invisible people)................ If you want blood Billy go to the Circus Maximus. A win is a win is 3 points be grateful.

Our impressive record against D&R continues, but this was a match we were lucky to win! An error by the visiting keeper gifted KC a second-half goal, but the Daggers will feel that their pressure deserved at least an equaliser. Still, football is all about taking chances. On Tuesday we drew a game we should have won. Today we won a game we should (at best) have drawn. We're (just) back in a play-off place. They're back in the drop zone. And this time Balanta didn't score against us.

Tight game of few chances. Nice to see 3 points. Can’t think Dagenham will be going down given their recent signings. Good clean sheet and win.

Not much other than we didn't play as well in the first half but hung on to the lead.

Dreadful game though as Billy said. We seem to have lost our way attacking wise.

Defensively we were great, lions at the back hanging onto the slender lead to the end. Cloughy, JC, Becks etc were excellent. Going forward our front 3 have yet to gel, after scoring a goal we tend to panic and sit back, because we don't really believe we can get another one. We get into so many good positions, but the final ball isn't really targeted to anyone in particular. I though Dag/Red movement in that second half upfront was far better and far more purposeful than ours.
The final ball should be just another pass, we are hitting and hoping at the moment, making the game scrappy..

I think when you consider the travel the team have done and amount of games - grinding out a result yesterday was fantastic - I’ve seen prettier but they got the job done despite the nerves at the end there ⭐️

Teams that find themselves behind take a risk and throw on forward players and we respond by bringing on midfield players at the expense of forwards which is fair enough other than the fact that when we do clear the ball it comes straight back. We need to either win the clearance and hold up the ball or be in a position to hassle their back four and not give them time to pick a pass and at the moment we do neither. This is why we miss Tommy Wright and desperately need a forward who can effectively do this.
