Any idea what sort of support you'll bring to the replay? Difficult one after our performance on Saturday but maybe 300 as its a Tuesday evening.

Would guess along similar lines, think that is bottom end, maybe 3-450 for this one.

Imagine how tired we would have been if we'd played Barnet midweek as originally planned! Again it's probably another opportunity to manage expectations. I've read a lot of stuff over the weekend on Social Media pointing the finger at certain players (Drinan seems to be getting the most flack) and some of the most vocal being some who have only been following Sutton a couple of years, and on same said social media there wasn't one person who predicted a score for it to be anything apart from a Sutton win. And of course there's a lot of shouts for "we need another striker", not realising that to be sustainable we may have to let someone go to get one (and like for like - you get rid of Drinan, you'll get another young unproven loan striker). Dos's reaction in his post match interview showed how angry he was. Not seen him like that for a while. If we'd lost and played better he wouldn't have been that angry, but one thing shone through was the determination that "we won't play that bad again". We won't and I believe that Slough have had their chance. But we do have to remember that we won't win the league this year, and with the resources available to us we shouldn't. But we've still only lost 3 times in 23 games this season (not counting a penalty shootout). That's a record any team will be proud of. Worrying is the club about to go bust. Which isn't happening. Worrying is us having form like Maidenhead. Which isn't happening. There's nothing to worry about if you accept what our expectations are. Must say that last paragraph has me agreeing and disagreeing with it at the same time lol. Real worries are like you said being in a position of Ebbsfleet for example which we aren't. I must say though it still concerns me if that's more of an appropriate word that things are as tight as they seem to be. Crying out for a striker and I think without one we may miss out on the play offs potentially but we will see. What are your expectations just out of Curiosity?.

Realistically we’re probably far from an Ebbsfleet situation as we budget properly. Obviously you have unexpected expenses so you temporarily cut your cloth accordingly. We have at best a mid table budget, so playoffs are above our realistic targets on a purely fiscal basis

Crying out for a striker and I think without one we may miss out on the play offs potentially but we will see. What are your expectations just out of Curiosity?. I think yes we have nothing serious to worry about. But we are supporters and can still voice an opinion. Wouldn’t be much to talk about otherwise! I’d agree we are a little imbalanced and have 3 midfielders getting little game time (I would argue that they could have seen more action but not privy to all the information!). I’m not overly concerned and it is partly circumstances that got us here (Wright injury, Lafayette offer) but we do need a forward no doubt. I also doubt the management disagree and imagine it will be worked out when it can be, not something that can happen instantly all the time and of course I trust them more than us lot to get things right! Not easy to balance the books and find the right player. Personally my expectation currently is that we are doing incredibly well and if we retain our status that is great. If we can have a cup run and/or get in the play offs even better. But certainly no pressure or expectation of attaining play off position. Whilst at the same time would say the quality of our squad is good enough to gain a top 7 spot, especially if we can add fire power!!

The vast majority of Sutton United supporters/followers do not post in here.Neither do they feel the need to appear at ludicrously far away venues such as Wrexham,Gateshead,Hartlepool,Halifax,Salford etc etc. This is non league 5th tier football after all.
As for expectations i think a lot of people expect, after paying 15 quid to get in,three more for a programme and two more to sit down, that Sutton United (particularly in league matches) show a lot more attacking intent than is currently the case.
What is the worst that could happen ? We seem to be in a league they don't really want to go up from and can't really afford to be in ,even with the money from the magnificent FA Cup run thrown in to the mix.

When i can i enjoy going to the likes of Halifax,Barrow etc and so does my son & his friend. Certainly beats an afternoon at Colsten Avenue and to visit these old Football league grounds is a real pleasure and visiting places i have never been before and would quite likely never have visited. Beautiful sunny day at the edge of the Lake District visiting Barrow with overnight stopovers.

Pity you have to watch the matches.................... Sutton often play better away from home. The 3-2 win at Hartlepool was a belter. 🙂

Never understood your issue with people travelling up and down the country to watch Sutton.
It is none of your business how people choose to spend their time and money.
15 quid is cheap for this league but as you are adverse to travelling much beyond your front gate you wouldn't know that.
As for the football, we play better away from home (so far this season) probably because that away support you find so difficult to understand gets behind the team and makes more noise than the vast majority of home fans who don't post on here do at GGL.

Billy's suggestion that the club has no genuine aspirations of promotion is nothing short of fantastical, especially in view of the extensive improvements already made to our infrastructure, expressly for the purpose of ensuring that we are ready for potential promotion into the Football League.
This isn't the first time that Billy has directed wholly unsubstantiated allegations towards the club, and I suspect it won't be the last time he does so, either.

Always the same, Trev. He turns up for a couple of matches and thinks he knows everything as a result.
