We really need to make sure we don’t lose the momentum we started to build. Must get something from this game, let’s do it with panache.

I've had a look on Aldershot"s Fans Forum and they are not a happy bunch. They want their manager to leave because of the recent run of poor results and his recruitment policy of part time footballers because they are prone to injuries!!

Aldershot are second-bottom of the form table (two points from last six games), have several players out injured (Waddock doesn't think they'll fill their bench), and most of their fans expect them to lose. So naturally this will be a tough assignment for us.🙄

Given this will be our third match in the space of a week I wonder if we will foresee many changes seeing we play again on Tuesday. Some players might benefit from a rest with others in need of minutes such as Beckwith, Taylor, Brown and McQueen - could Jude Mason also be given his debut for this one I wonder?!
Just had a peep at the Aldershot forum - some of them really don’t like us - I wonder where that stems from 🤔, they’re struggling somewhat this season - hopefully we can pile on the misery on Saturday afternoon.

Their fans moan about our ground but the way we got treated at their place this season was shocking.

I haven't been there for any of our league games against them but the way they treated us in the FA Cup a few seasons ago was bad enough.
They are another club who think they are bigger than they actually are (see York, Torquay etc) and seem to think they should have a full time team on gates of 1700, which clearly isn't sustainable.
Not sure why they think part time players are more susceptible to injury than full time players but if the likes of them and Halifax are examples of the full time players you can get on gates of 1500-1800 I would rather stick with our part time players thanks.

Their fans moan about our ground but the way we got treated at their place this season was shocking. They do have a lovely old stadium and I am a little envious of it but their belittling of GGL is a little like someone with an inherited mansion mocking a colleague with a terraced 3 bed ex council house. Poor form and symptomatic of the sense of entitlement many of the supporters of the ex league clubs seem to possess (yes I know the shots are a Phoenix team).

How comes BBC Surrey cover a club based in Hampshire?

At least 2, and possibly 4, of the 7 clubs above us in the table will be losing points this afternoon with Harrogate hosting Fylde, and Wrexham hosting Solihull.

Although we can’t go up a place unless Gateshead lose at home to Halifax (unlikely) or we win 20-0 or something.

Phew, what a win. If we win the game in hand the play-off race looks tight at the moment to say the least.

Nobody bit at my earlier post about the radio lol... I just want a nice 3 or 4 nil win, really thought it was heading that way early on but unfortunately a massive deflection let them back into the game. Every game feels like it is taking years off my life at the moment!
Great win, and 9 points over Christmas which is excellent. Also loving watching Brad develop game by game, that lad looks class and it’s a wonderful reflection on the efforts of the club’s youth system.
